They laughed off the Sep. 23 strip that was really an early-warning shot about their decision. Well, at least they ripped the bandage off quickly and didn’t drag it out. Enjoy your retirement, guys, and thanks for all the fish.

It’s been fun. I hate to see this one go away. I have been able to relate to so many of these comics. Thanks for the good times. You will be missed.

Is this really the end? You teased us a couple of months ago and I was SO relieved it was just a tease!

But I can understand. 25+ years of coming up with a cartoon idea, dialogue, drawing every dam day…. Most of my jobs in my career were of the “I don’t feel like working today. And the good news is, I don’t have to”.

After 4 and a 1/2 weeks of reruns, this is a first run cartoon marking the end of the strip.

Thanks for all the laughs! I still have some of your strips on my refrigerator. My favorite is the hilusband and wife saying good bye while he is still cozy in bed and she is leaving for work. It ends with her telling him that is where the foroner would find him! Enjoy your retirement!
