Aw. I think Lupin needs a hug. Or a gentle ear skritch and to be told he’s a good boy. That just because Goldie is new and interesting and in need of love and a safe home does not mean that he will be getting any less of those things.

Lupin usually has such a cheerful demeanor that it’s tough to see him upset.

Actually, when I saw Lupin wearing the mask over his eye, my first thought was the cat in that soap opera. Kit, I think?

This is it folks. Georgia just broke the internet with “Phantom of the Fridge” Lupin. I’ve now woken the entire house with my snorks of laughter. No shame, I snorked.

OMC, I have to have this! PotO is my favorite music and play…so much so I have a Phantom mask tattoo on my ankle! Lupin, you’ve truly taken my heart with this one.

Skipper update: back hurts. Head hurts less. Still dizzy from time to time. Overall, concussions suck.

But the hunt is on for a new wheelchair lift van nonetheless and I’m hoping to have that locked down before too long. If any of you are bored during the day, I could use some help with the search.

Lupin certainly does a nice, epic sulk. Phantom of the freezer, indeed!!!

I will be incommunicado until probably the 15th, as Paul and I go on our Caribbean cruise to celebrate my 65th and his 60th birthdays. I will be able to read the strip (I think), but I won’t be able to comment.

As I said in a response comment above, you all do realize that the surgical mask being askew now makes it look like the Phantom’s mask over the right side of Lupin’s face….

Love the Phantom of the Fridge! I keep having this picture in my mind of The Phantom (Lupin) rowing that boat, pole in paws, on the canal to his dark lair….but who would be Christine? Would it be Sophie maybe? Or Tabitha? Maybe even (gasp) Goldie herself? Natasha?

Lupin I predict that you might get a tape recorder for Christmas….8D

We had a large fridge-style freezer in my kitty’s room. It was so warm it was his favorite perch and sleep spot. He tended to do the Snoopy vulture bit when the humans came in.

Slightly OT… Today’s “Rose is Rose” has a lovely episode regarding kittens and naps!

I would 100% read a Lupin-as-Phantom-of-the-Opera-themed Halloween special next year. Just sayin’…

Of course not, he’s on top of the fridge because heat rises. It’s below freezing outside and he’s looking for the warmest place in the apartment.

rescue kitty update:Mia is doing great she is being accepted by her new sisters well Midnight is being the Lumpkin of the group and not being very friendly. She is no longer hiding and sleeps at the foot of my bed now. So looks like she is part of the family finally. LOL 2 all black cats I see a theme going.

Lupin is hyper (sensitive.)

I could almost — but not quite — feel the teensiest bit sorry for Lupin. Yes, I understand that he’s lost his precious cassette recorder, but it seems like he’s resolutely ignoring all other methods of making notes. And his terrible attitude (should that be cattitude?) is also depriving him of the company of Elvis and Pucky. Puck is generously doing his best to make Goldie’s confinement more tolerable. Elvis is upset with him for being so dramatically unforgiving. Goldie is temporarily isolated by illness. Lupin is isolating himself socially, out of … well, who knows why he’s so adamant? But it’s little wonder his two housemates don’t want to spend much time in Sourpuss’ company lately.

You know Lupin wearing your mask like that it won’t protect you from disease.
