Angora and Kit are unknowingly mirroring their “sighing over the other” positions. Oh, and Beatrix is sitting with all her back Paw Toebeans showing. SQEEEE!
I love just about everything about this! There was a time I would have had to ignore it like Robin, but for different reasons. I buried my mother Christmas Eve morning many, many years ago now and for a lot of years, just went through the Christmas motions for the kids. Thank goodness I did because they’re the reason I was dragged, kicking and screaming, back into the Christmas spirit. I love the decorated border, love the enthusiasm all the watchers have for the movie, this is great. I just feel sorry for Gutter because he’s on the outside looking in. Chitter and Chatter can sneak in, but poor Gutter…it would be complete if he was inside instead of out. BUT! Time will tell… ;)
Elvis: Oh look, it’s from my friend Mag-Lor. You know, the son of Fe-Anaro. They’re in the Land of Ice exploring.
Beatrixia: What does he say?
Elvis: He and his brother Maedros are exploring the island. Here’s what they say:
We have visited a field where water sprays up hot from deep below the Earth. The people here call them geysers. We have also seen areas where water flows down from the hills, called waterfalls.
Bea: I’ve read about waterfalls in the travel scrolls.
Puckmosis: Did you ever sail to the lands up north in your Dancing Corsair days, Elvis?
Elvis: We did visit briefly the north lands, but didn’t go very far. I did hear talk of the land of Fire and Ice. Did you sail to the north, Iggy?
Iggy: Yes. And we did see the geysers and waterfalls. And great fields of ice called glaciers.
Ora Z: Fire and ice! I’ll have to visit one day.
Lupinium: I’d like to hear more, but I have to go to the Artisans to get my sandal repaired. It just fell apart unexpectedly.
Yes Ora Zella, there IS a 2025 BCN Calendar!!! And you can find it in the BCN Zazzle shop! I’ve pinned a post to the top of the BCN Facebook page with links to all the places you can find BCN merchandise and gifts; books, shirts, mugs, prints of the comic, the calendar, oh my! And this year Patreon created a way to gift subscriptions! That’s a terrific way to directly support the comic and give the BCN fans in your life access to sneak peeks and extra insights on the comic.
Sorry to folks not on FB, other social medial platforms don’t allow posts with multiple links or I would post the BCN gift giving guide in several spots. With today being Cyber Monday, I wanted to get the word out so folks can grab some good deals!
Oh Great Googlie-Mooglie! The Paw Mark Channel??? Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse. Let’s see if this story line follows the typical Hallmark – Lifetime pattern.
1. Formulaic Plot lines: Many of these movies follow a predictable structure, often revolving around themes of love, family, and personal growth. This can lead to a lack of originality, making them feel repetitive.
2. Character Development: Critics often point out that characters can be one-dimensional or stereotypical. Many lead characters fit into archetypes (e.g., the career-focused woman, the charming love interest), which can make them less relatable.
3. Production Quality: While some films are well-produced, others may have lower budgets, leading to less polished visuals, sound, and special effects.
4. Clichéd Dialogue: The dialogue can sometimes feel forced or overly sentimental, which can detract from the overall viewing experience.
5. Target Audience: These movies are often aimed at a specific demographic that enjoys light-hearted, feel-good stories. As a result, they may not resonate with viewers looking for deeper or more complex narratives.
6. Cultural Critique: Some viewers criticize the films for promoting traditional values or unrealistic portrayals of relationships, which can feel outdated or out of touch with contemporary issues.
So far I would say we have hit #2, #3, #4, and #5 pretty well.
I ordered my 2025 BCN wall calendar early & have already received it, or rather what Zazzle was selling as the 2025 then. It has the same weird glitch as last year & the year before: The cover says 2024 but each page inside is 2025 and the dates coincide correctly with the 2025 days. Has anyone else had this happen?
