Just curious – I noticed there are no comments for some comics. This seems to be the only one of mine with comments. Usually there are a lot of them. Anything changed?
Yes, every loyal reader knows that Tiff and Ann have met face to face.
So now the question is, does Tiffany continue to act alone, and get caught. Is Ann Eiffel evil enough to lock Tiff in the Fuse prop room as she tries to make her escape?
YOU and Ann Have Met. 10/30/12. Not long enough for Lasting Impression, but You’ve Met.
And Please Note the Strip on 10/31/12 where Ann quickly Saw Through Your “Plan.” I Like this New Tiff, but I’m getting BAD feeling She’s about to walk right into a HUNGRY Lioness’ Den, Over Confident and Ill-Prepared. Remember How Easily Ann Sweet Talked Pru? And What are the Chances the tables will be Filled with Real “Souffle Lingerie” on THAT Particular Night? Begs another Question: Will Les stand by and let His Mom go Down, or will He have a SLIGHT change of heart and Tip Mom Off?
Oh, and While You’re at it Tiff, Check out the strips from Sept. 24 thru 27 2012, where You’ll be reminded that You can’t STAND that Snake You’ve been Talking to all week.
PS: And Please Don’t Give Me that "Tiff didn’t know Ann’s Last Name was “Eiffel” then and Has Forgiven Les" Hoo-Doo, Either!
I’m thinking Ann’s scam is that she has the real goods out for the lingerie party attendees to check out when they make their purchases, but she puts knock-offs in their shopping bags… which they get as they are leaving. That set-up might make it difficult to engineer a dramatic reveal that would turn a room ful of women against Ann Awful, which seems to be the plan. In other words. I’m wondering how Tiffany intends to “expose her” and run her out of town without getting the police involved…
Tiffany said a while back that her dad ‘took Ann to a Paris shopping trip instead of her’. So Ann did at least have a chance to see and probably buy some real Souffle Lingerie at the Paris store (about which we also know from Tiff). This is going to get complicated… and I’d be a lot more optimistic if TJ were involved with the plans. :s
All I can comment is that this should be very interesting. I am not going to handicap the results in terms of whether the world class hustler can win over the world class rich girl, who is changing to be a nicer, more caring person, and less competitive with Luann, but I think that TJ did a good job on Ann, so I think that it’s possible Ann may get kicked to the curb in more ways than one. The emotional baggage here is what I am interested in seeing.
I think Tiffany’s hostility towards Ann goes beyond anything the latter has done. I keep coming back to the fact that it is not Tiffany’s place to break up her father’s romantic relationships, especially without talking to her dad about the new information she discovered. I really think that at bottom she wants her dad single and back for herself and Ann’s fraud is just an excuse for Tiffany to break up the relationship.
I predict Tiffany will defeat Eiffel, because the author (Evans and his daughter or whoever it is who helps him) has made it too obvious that Tiffany is overconfident and not personally familiar with Eiffel. We are being set up to be proven wrong.
Eiffel is boring at this point, because she’s crass and one-dimensionally evil, and her plots predictable. Endless sleazy low-end jobs or businesses. She’s also entirely unpleasant.
Tiffany! You are revealing way to much to Les (Ann’s son). He may have conflicting loyalties. You should have just gone to the event, say hello to Les on the way in, and do your thing….
While the actual “Lingerie Party” that Tiffany will attend is likely several days away, it is interesting and nice to see that Tiffany is putting on her makeup. Not that I am a particular fan of makeup…. I like the natural look better…. but because Tiffany has always acted in a way that indicates SHE likes makeup and when she has been happiest in the past, she did wear makeup.
So, I take it as a good sign…. Tiffany’s emotions are improving…. most likely because she now has a “mission” of sorts…. a “goal”.
Now, whether her goal is going to ultimately be successful….. not sure….. and I am not sure if attaining her goal will continue to bolster her emotionally or not. But, if the goal is not attained…. the question will be…. will having worked towards this goal be enough to help her emotions stay improved, or will a lack of success cause her to have further emotional trauma?
Tiff is donning the war-paint – it’s time to do battle! But I do think she has underestimated the enemy. Let’s hope all that armour protects her. Fingers crossed!
The impending battle between Tiff and Ann reminds me of the battle between Glinda and Evanora, late in Oz the Great and Powerful. It was very much in Star Wars style, complete with “force lightening”. And they have the respective blond and black hair to boot. Nice contrast with two attractive broads duking it out.
So…Tiffany’s playing the long game, and thinking like an adult heiress—instead of putting her in jail, she wants to put Anne on a blackmail leash—because you never know when you might need a criminal under your control. Not ethical, but a power-move. And she might not realize it yet, but this could make the mysterious Mr. Grey beholden to her. Tiffany might have gotten more empathetic of late, but she has just moved from silly to scary.
Oh, so we’re trying to make Ann leave town again? What is this, the third time now (and the second time in a row it’s been done by threatening to expose her bad behavior)?
How about you try kicking this up to the actual authorities for once? What she is doing is a CRIME. And just in case, let the lingerie company know that she is selling knockoffs of their products. Give Ann the double whammy of fraud charges and a corporate lawsuit. It would sure be better than just running her out of town yet again.Be like Ender Wiggin: don’t just try to win this battle, but all the future battles as well.
I agree with Mordock that Ann may have the real goods on hand to produce if challenged. Nevertheless, Tiff appears better armed than the time she tried to help challenge Ann at Weenie World. All said, I hope for an interesting result to this conflict – as opposed to total defeat for anybody – as I like these characters.
While we all know that Tiffany and Ann have “battled each other” before, it was a brief moment, and Tiffany was thinner and less mature back then.
This Tiffany, however, is new and improved. Les didn’t recognize her at first, so there is still a chance she can fool Ann as well. Here’s hoping Tiffany’s vast knowledge of cosmetics and fashion will make her the hero of this story arc!
Tiffany is skilled at scheming and plotting against people but has always (in the past) used that ability against friends and for personal gain. I like that she is now using her talents in the name of justice and in defense of her friends. Go Tiffany!
Wait, don’t tell me, let me guess: Ann lets on that she’s selling the fake stuff to the “rubes,” but she can tell Tiffany has “taste” and she’ll let her in on the “good stuff,” which, of course, just turns out to be higher-quality fakes.
Anything short of some combination of Luann / Brad / Toni / TJ / Luann’s parents (and maybe Gunther’s mom) being the ones to bring Ann down would seem to be out of place.
I predict Ann will know it’s Tiffany (photos in her Dad’s house) and know she’s up to something Ann will sell Tiffany genuine products at a steep discount pretending to be legit, but Tiffany will have another friend there that works for the company that is sold fake products.
I like this new arc. I’m excited to see Tiffany get her mojo back and eager to see her take on the shrewd Ann Eifel. I suppose Tiff will be getting back in shape now.
I like this new arc. I’m excited to see Tiffany get her mojo back and eager to see her take on the shrewd Ann Eifel. I suppose Tiff will be getting back in shape now.
About time Tiff started using her powers for good. Now if she’d just lose the weight, she’d be perfect! Of course, if she did, she’d probably go back to being evil.
I think passion + confidence equal success as versus nonpassion + overconfidence equal failure which was the pattern in her past attempts at payback and confrontation. I think this time, Tiffany will stare Ann down and out-maneuver her.
