You Know, when there’s no “Skirt” around, namely Tiff, these two lads seem to get along just fine.

But Gunther? I’d sleep with a shank and a taser under my Pillow with ‘Brother’ Les snoozing nearby. Just in Case…..,

So this is how we learn that Mrs. Berger accepted Mr. Gray’s proposal. I wonder if the boys will also find out about the “guest house” plan at pretty much the same time they find out about the upcoming marriage?

Mrs. Berger looks a bit concerned about the “guest house” plan – concerned, but not necessarily opposed.

Mr. Gray wants the boys out of the house. I assume he is talking Les and Gunther, since we haven’t seen Quill in awhile.

Maybe they’ll let Gunther and Les get bunk beds. There’d be so much more space in the room for activities!

It seems clear that Irma is tentatively interested in Al’s proposal. But until they start telling others, especially the boys, it might still be under careful evaluation.

They’re doing this right, unlike some impulsive young lovers. They’re carefully considering all the practical implications before it’s a final deal.

I don’t get why Al Gray is figuring he would move into Irma’s house. Why not have her move into his house, and then they can leave Irma’s house to Gunther?

So we are sidestepped over to the Berger/Gray arc, away from the Tiffany/Ann showdown. Looks like the lovebirds expect the boys to live on their own but yet close. I know Al wants to keep a close eye on Les while Ma wants her Gunthie close by but Al doesn’t want neither live IN the house with them. Good solution, but I have the feeling Les will say, “Thanks, but I don’t want to live with Gunther, and I’m getting my own place” and throw a monkey wrench in his uncle’s grand plan. And Gunther will be relieved he won’t get to live with Les and won’t have to say it aloud.

Well “if” Ma Berger has indeed said yes to Al Gray, then it’s High Time He Drop the “Mystery Man” Act and got to know his future Step-Son Gunther, Better.

He and Gunth should get along just fine. Les, on the other hand….

Al with Irma? Les and Gunther together? Tiffany about to take down Annie? Maybe end up her step-daughter instead? And what of the main character & her downer side-kick? This is getting too crazy! I can’t watch!

Irma’s expression isn’t very enthusiastic while looking at the plans… I guess his plan is to kick them out and make then live in a guest house? I sense some trouble in Mr Gray’s love interest, soon…Gunther is going to find the plans and take them to Les. Then Gunther and Les are going to try and sabotage the upcoming nuptials. unless Irma breaks it off. Imagine…Mr Gray wanting to banish Gunther to a guest house. She’s not going to go for that.

Looks like the “boys” are going to be jostled out of their comfort zones shortly. This may end up being a good thing for all involved. Irma and Al would get alone time to settle down together, and Les and Gunther, but especially Gunther, could start “growing up” a little faster.

Mr. Grey wants the boys out of the house so he and the Misses can walk around naked. Plus, she’s a screamer.

A tiny house would make an excellent guest house. They’d have their own space and the adults would have a little privacy.

What, are they going to kick Gunther out of the house? I would think that if they made any moves towards that, Gunther would just go find an apartment or something on his own. Where does Les live now? Wouldn’t he just stay where he’s at?

Mr. Gray, are you absolutely certain that “Mrs. Berger” isn’t Gunther in drag? Come on Greg, I would have hoped you’d give Gunther’s mother some feminine features, and not just put your Gunther character in a dress…

This may be the first glimpse we have seen of the workings of Mr. Gray’s mind.

Guess what Gunter, Les, you two are going to be roomies in your own tiny house. And, the rent won’t be THAT much, plus the utilities, cable, and, internet will be included.

Wait- the plan is the “Guest House”, yes…but is the plan really to keep Gunther and Les’ ‘auditory receptor dishes’ from picking up signals, giving them a chance to spoil the plans???

Yeah, it is a little weird that Al Gray is already talking “plan” when we’ve no idea yet if Ms. Berger has “accepted the proposal.” As for the “plan” itself, I’m wondering if this may lead to one of the “boys” moving out on their own… Perhaps Gunther will move in with Tiff….. Hmmmmmm….. Yeah, and I have no idea what Quill might do, assuming he’s still “officially” in the picture. We’ll have to see. But things do seem to be moving along. I still want a resolution to the Ann Eiffel Arc, though. We need that resolved, I think, before we can address this “proposal/guest house” arc.

It appears that Les and Gunther don’t have a real clue what “Al” and “Irma” are up too, but at least Al has a clear plan to make sure they have a place to live, something, given their incomes, positions in young adult life, and ages, they need. Irma (thanks Wiz) would want to make sure Gunthie is okay and living near her, and safe, and Al would want the same for his nephew, whom he obviously loves, and he wants to make his future bethrothed happy. They are of one mind. It’s nice to see her dressed up, kind of sexy. I still think this is just a subtheme in the basic Ann and Tiffany and Fuse arc though. Who would have thunk it, Les and Gunther living together in a house Uncle Al will build???

Let’s see what the plan has going for it:

1) Privacy for a new couple

2) A good investment by Mr. Gray.

3) When they are old, a caretaker can live there

4) Solves the perpetual problem of where your kids can live.

Here’s something… G does NOT know that Tiff’s dad is dating Ann Eiffel. And he, I suspect doesn’t know Ann Eiffel is Les’s mother.

Tiff, G, and Les ALL need to know all the facts, otherwise Tiff’s plan is doomed.

One other point: I read that a majority of younger adult millennials still live with their parents. This is not necessarily because they are lazy good for nothing ingrates as some Matures (75 and older) seniors might say; rather it is a recognition of economic reality. Now it is just so expensive to start out compared to earlier periods. Now in California (closest to where Luannverse would exist) it can cost thousands of dollars to just rent a studio apartment, before we get to food, transportation, and other basic costs. Even in less expensive states it is prohibitive. So bunking with old Mom and Dad makes sense. It’s not that they will stay forever, but they move on their own later than before. So in that sense Al’s plans for Gunther and Les make sense, and is just the kind of thing he would do. Moreover I bet Irma Berger, soon to be Gray, would appreciate this kind of planning.

I just figured it out. Why Greg and Karen are working in the Guest House Idea.

Whatever the outcome of Her “plan,” Tiffany WON’T Stop Ann from Marrying Her Dad. And there’s no way in the HELL Tiff is going to live under the SAME roof with Ann Eiffel. So, Tiff will go and live with Uncle Al and Aunt Irma, in Gunther’s old bedroom while the Lads Live in the Guest House and spend the next few years fighting over Their new Step-Sister/Cousin.

Gunther wanted a home with a Guest House for his mom and the main house for his family. Now the Grays will have the house while Gunther is in the guest house. And the Grays will have the 2.5 kids, Gunther, Les and maybe Quill.

I know it wouldn’t be as dramatic, but why doesn’t Gunther just move on campus.

Some of us have likened Al Gray to being connected to the Mafia / the Mob (self included) in the past. I can see that at the end of today’s comic – and Al is presenting his ‘plan’ to Irma with his best Edward G. Robinson voice!: “That’s the plan, see?? That’s the plan!! MM-Yeah, see??!! MM-Yeahhh!!!!!”

Al & Ma Berger seem determined to make the boys get along. What if Les brings a girl home?

Their respective parents DO have a plan, and the ‘BOYS’ are NOT gonna like it!

A ‘guest house’ seems like the English ‘granny flat’ folks would build as an extra room or rooms in back of the house for their aging parent … if I were either of the boys, I wouldn’t feel that welcome to stay – and I DON"T think they’d make for great roommates a’tall!!

Les and Gunther have characteristics in common. Both have occasional angry streaks with the nasty cross look on their faces; they tend to react negatively and impulsively to circumstances. But they have family circumstances in common, and now Tiffany……yikes. They will connect one moment and clash the next.

Give Mr. Gray his due, he knows how to get organized and move forward. It was him, with one phone call that had the Fuse transformed from warehouse into club and workspace. Makes you wonder if his sister could be pulling a scam in his orbit and he didn’t know about it.

Ya know, the ceiling to the restaurant is just ugly enough that Greg probably copied it from real life.

I don’t think anyone predicted this. Ma Berger will probably go for it – she always thinks everything is going to work out well.

Gunther may not know “the plan.” But lo! we do now! Leslie and Gunther as the Next Generation of semi-dysfunctional guys sharing a roof (Brad and TJ are no longer suited to this game)? And both more interested in Tiffany than Gunny would admit? Hilarity ensues?

Lot of heavy stuff going on.

Les and Gunther as housemates seems incongruous when you first consider the conditions. However, sometimes when two opponents have a common “enemy”, they can find surprising bonds. Consider the US and the Soviet Union. If they can get past the first awkwardness of being forced to live together, they might even find they like each other. We know Gunther is successful academically, just lacking in social skills and emotional stability. I suspect Les has never had a chance to show his intelligence.

Still saying it ain’t gonna happen.But if it does… can the “Boys” (and Tiffany?) Stomach a new relative?That is, if Irma is still young enough to do the dirty with appropriate possible consequences?

Is this “guest house” supposed to be just a place to hang out? Because why would Gunther need to live in a guest room?
