I think perhaps Jack is not being honest here. Letting her down with kindness is not helpful. Tiffany spoke the truth about the granny polks dots shirt on a 20-year-old girl. Tiffany is itching to do a makeover on Luann. She needs to – Luann has been frumpy for too long. It’s time. She made Bernice look a lot better with a simple hairstyle change and solid shirts. Simple and classy.

I never had long nails because I played guitar and other musical instruments all through college. I never experienced any problems getting guys because of my nails. I don’t think they even noticed them.

It’s so great how Luann and Jack can totally ignore Tiffany’s presence to stay focus on each other. Could this be the beginning of something more between them? Right in front of Tiffany??? Hilarious!

At this point in her life, a good fling with Jack might be good for Luann. Her love life since Australian what’s-his-name hasn’t progressed very much, and Jack seems to care, if only as a friend for now. He could be that diamond in the rough.

First of all Luann is a babe, and Jack definitely notices it. While Tiffany is doing her best to diminish Luann, as somehow she, Luann, must be undesirable, a very desirable MALE is not even paying attention to bottle blonde Tiffany, while paying Luann a compliment. IMHO at some point Luann needs to understand that she has someone she should get to know, should open her eyes to right there, and maybe, in Luannverse, eventually her heart. Tiffany is fluff in this scene, although Luann, if you notice, is not really paying any attention to her. Could it be the essence of MALE? The wonderment of what happened with Doug? At some point Jack and Luann are probably going to take the next step, and I think Jack is hoping all along, but he is either shy about it, or a gentleman. One thing, if you notice carefully when around Luann he really does not notice any other women, whether it be Tara, or Tiffany, or any random babe who gets drawn in the frame. So…?

Look folks. Tiffany is Tiffany. She’s in Greg’s cast of characters for a purpose; probably several. She can be irritating, but she’s NOT Ann Awful. She’s shown a vulnerability and much of the bravado is a cover up. She’s done less physical harm that the TJ character – Oh wait. There are some that “hate” him too. (sigh)

Luann’s fragrance is called “Inno-scent”: let’s guys know they won’t get anywhere with this girl. Tiffany is just Tiffany. “Long live the mighty Bimbo”.

And that was just to be shown Gunther’s new digs. So Luann does indeed have a sense of “style.” She’s shows a different “style” at this meet up. (Tiff, BTW, mentions her nondescript appearance.) Maybe Dougie got the hint. “Nice to meet you but I’m just not into this.”

Is Greg once again dangling that a Luann and Jack relationship in the offing? Yeah, yeah. We’ve been there before. Just to have Jack bumped back into friend zone status.

Greg has moved Gunther off stage right for now and given him a potential romantic interest. Will Greg parallel that with Jack and Luann? The male romantic interest, I mean. Who knows? Jack still doesn’t present as a truly romantic character.

Maybe it’s time to bring back Bernice’s brother? NAW!

If Tiffany is actually correct that Doug’s exit was driven by shallow externals, then he did Luann a favor by moving on. Good riddance.

Luann says they were getting along well until they weren’t. Apparently something happened. Maybe Dougie thought Jack, Ox and TJ were three of Luann’s brothers. Intimidation city!

It may have had to do with all the people watching them as he was trying to get to know his date?? Just thinking if I was on a first date with someone I wouldn’t want to be out with them and all of their friends.

Tiffany being the old, traditional Tiffany again. Bah.

1. “Well, you look great, so it wasn’t that.” said Jack. “Thanks, Jack.” said Luann…. now we are smack-dab back in the middle of the the standard rom-com trope here with those two.

2. With a whole lot of the week left…. what may ensue? I am now predicting that there will be a gentle, barely brushing of the lips together type of kiss on Saturday between Jack and Luann.

3. In terms of Luann’s outfit…. overall it is quite nice… except I am not sure that the hue of green Sheriff gave her is a good color for the rest of Luann’s look (skin tone and hair). But, that is a minor point.

4. As far as Tiffany’s comments go…. I am finding them annoying…. and I did not want to see that sort of behavior return in Tiffany. In my mind’s ear…. I am hearing Tiffany’s voice as a cynical, dripping-with-sarcasm Joan Crawfordesque drawl.

Could Tiff be any more bitchy?

I would like to see the results if Luann allowed Tiffany to give her a total makeover.

Jack is growing on Luann…just wait and see!

To me, Tiffany is looking more and more matronly. Am I the only one who sees this?

For the life of me, I just can’t envision Jack being a romantic interest for Luann on the order of Quill or Bernice’s brother. Except for the Aaron Hill crush, Greg has Luann being drawn to more stable, serious, mature types. Not to mention handsome. Greg is impressed with veterinarians. Maybe if Jack moves more in that direction. Greg tried to give him (Jack) a start at the dog park but hasn’t followed up yet. Maybe that would be a signal?

Now that would be a clue!

As usual, the “real” Tiffany comes out. And I can’t help but wonder if she had anything to do with Doug leaving. And Luann – wake up and see that Jack is a great guy who likes you for who you are.

Jack sees the good. My beloved Tiffany sees what she perceives as bad.

We can all make that choice.

Tiffany is a psychologist’s dream: You satisfy her ego, and she’ll satisfy your id. Like Elvira, she is a mistress of the night and doesn’t wear polka dots.

Whenever Tiffany gets around Luann, she seems to 100% revert back to her old nasty ways towards her. This is the behavior that has put so many readers in the Tiffany haters club over the years. To be fair, the effect does seem to be mutual usually.

You can tell if you are not interested in someone in 5 minutes on a blind date. It looks like Doug stayed longer than that, then he politely left. Nothing wrong with his behavior.

My, my, aren’t we nitpicking, Tiffany. You who has no boyfriend should not be passing judgment on Luann.

And notice that Jack complimented Luann on her appearance. He never made mention of Tiffany’s. Come to think of it, I believe he finds her annoying.

People! You’re talking about nails and missing the signs! Lu is taking a shine to Jack slowly but surely..

Are we all missing the potentially telling moment here? How Jack offered himself as a protector for LuAnn just in case her date went south and now he is boosting her ego while Tiff’s tearing it down. Says a lot about him being in her corner. She seems to be taking notice.

Tiffany is being ignored, along with all her superficial comments. At some point Jack and Luann will get up and leave together, and Tiff will be left and told to get back to work.

When it comes to Luann, Tiffany will always need to ridicule and degrade her. It’s how bullies build up their own self-esteem. And yet, when Ann Eiffel bullies Tiffany, we are supposed to feel sorry for Tiffany.

I do not like Ann Eiffel. She is a horrible person and a career criminal, and Tiffany’s father is the perfect idiot for her. But Tiffany is treating Luann pretty much the same way Ann treats her. It’s almost like “rock, paper, scissors”. I would like for Tiffany to take a good look in a mirror (something she likes to do!)… and see Ann’s face where her reflection would be. Let’s see what that does to her.

Luann’s loss is not quite Tiffany’s gain, but the Tiffster is trying to exploit the situation. I doubt she will gain anything from it, though….

Luann has a great job at Kids First, and has yet to max out her credit card. She lives with her parents (who own The Fuse), but they get along great. She is even friends with Prudence, who is renting Brad’s old room. She’s doing great in community college, and may have a potential career in chemistry.

Tiffany, however, is having serious money issues. This is mainly because Ann Eiffel has her father wrapped around her little finger, and has been given control of Tiffany’s spending habits. Tiffany only just recently learned how to get her own credit card… and maxed it out already. She has discovered her talents in cosmetology, and hopes to make TiffasNails a reality. But her job at Kids First was cut short, and is now working at the Fuse…

Well… maybe “working” isn’t the right word.

The point is, Tiffany has way more growing up to do before she can catch up to Luann.
