Les May be grumbling, but “Mr. Smooth,” who clearly pays attention to what he wears, is allowing that kitten to shred his shirt! Methinks he’s developing a soft spot for that little grey kitten!

Brilliant of Greg to add this soft cuddly and cute touch to our story. Animals have a way to soften the hardest of souls. He may even find more than he expected with little gray around him.

The orange kitty is now grey!

Who knows why the arcamax comics site decided to (apparently) override Greg’s color choices and depict the grey kitten as orange… but that decision is coming back to bite them today. Confuzzled commenters over there are wondering whether Gunther is color blind!

I wonder what fat cat Mr. Bigglesworth is up to.

Arcamax is clearly referring to their red-orange kitty, referring to it as gray! SactoSylvia noted the same above.

No cats were harmed in the production of this cartoon arc. However, a couple of the Macho Commandments have been stretched to the limit. Can you imagine John Wayne ever saying, “Awww, inne koot?”

Aw, Les. S/he compliments you. Both of you like being neutral colored. Pet it and feel and hear it purr – that really says how the cat feels about you – happiness.

In the first panel with them sitting amidst all those cats, it reminds me of Captain Kirk awash in the pile of Tribbles.

Now’s your chance to get EVEN, Gunny. When Les is at work, smear his clothes with catnip! Adding a bit to the pomade that Leslie saturates his hair with wouldn’t HURT either. Good Times! ;)

I swear – if Les turns all mushy and “lovey-dovey” toward the cat, I will vomit. This is just too much.

Kittens are so awesome, I had a kitten that used to nap on the side of my face. I guess she was staking claim.

There aren’t too many storylines in this strip that make me wonder if next week can come faster, but this is one of those rare ones. It’s not doing anything for me. Or maybe it’s because I don’t like Gunther’s being forced to room with this guy in the first place and I’ve been hoping he’ll get a better situation soon. Oh well, I’ll wait it out.

This arc is getting more of a farse every day. It’s becoming very entertaining going from Arcamax to Go Comics each day to see what colours the kittens are and how many of them there are too. Apparently the artists have a low opinion of their readers ability to count and to perceive colour.

Les? That clawing is called “kneading.” It’s what kittens do at mommy’s breast. The kitten thinks you’re mommy.

Awww. Kittens are unstoppable. Once you’ve been chosen, it’s impossible to escape. The last panel would be a fantastic photo♡ and I kinda want Gunther to take that photo.

awww KOOOT!! I think the point of this week is to show how much the Gulag boys have in common, although in different tones so to speak. Gun(thers) pet was the dove in the magic trick, while Les’s was a snake which would have eaten the dove. But wanting a pet is the common theme. I think Les and the little grey kitty are meant to be together. Hope it helps lighten his grumpy heart a little.

By the way I like Moe. I hope he is a recurring character

I must admit that for me the grey kitten is quite adorable. I tend to like cats who want attention and petting the most. Aloof cats…. well…. we have had them, but they are less enjoayble.

For all those concerned about what happened to the orange kitten. I have it on good authority (the NY Times editorial staff) that it went home with the little redheaded girl over at Charlie Brown. ;o)

BTW Kudos to our much maligned colorist Sheriff Mordecai for getting the Kitten colors right. :o)

We had a Russian Blue who, early on, liked to ride on my shoulder. He still liked it a dozen years later. He’d usually be grooming me by licking my hair when he was up there. He also would climb any ladder he saw so he could look down on us.

Having pets (cat or dog) teaches a person how to feel and display affection. Les badly needs some of these lessons. Gunther could also benefit and learn to be less awkward.

Good grief. Set back the maturation process by at least ten years….

Les has this tough guy image which is a facade, a protective coating. I predict if/when Gunther leaves the room Les might become a little more affectionate toward the kitten, i.e. when he thinks no one is looking.
