My condolences. He must have been a wonderful father for you to have honored him so.

Many of the people that I have loved the most left this time of year. No time is a good time but the cold and dark seem to make it worse. While others are celebrating, I’m remembering. My heart goes out to you and all who loved him.

My condolences. I enjoyed the obit. Sounds like he had a wonderful life. Husband, father, grandfather. Navy vet in WWII. Musician. Teacher. Traveler. Part time preacher. How sad that he lost two wives and a daughter. I’m sure he’ll be missed.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. It is hard but he will always be with you. I still miss mine after 18-1/2 years and remember the things he taught me and the gifts he gave (in particular my flute and my love for music) as I go about my daily life. Your tribute to your Dad is wonderful and touches my heart.

I’m so sorry. He was three months younger than my dad, who passed three months ago. I’m so glad I have an answering machine message (three years old now) of him singing happy birthday to me with my mom. Hugs to you and yours.

Thank you for sharing the link for your Dad’s obit. My Dad was the same age as yours but passed in 2016. Like your parents, mine were also married in 1950 with my mom passing much earlier (Parkinsons). You are lucky to know so much about your Dad’s WWII story. My Dad didn’t share much and I didn’t press. It’s my biggest regret. May your memories bring comfort and make you smile. Prayers and love to you and family at this difficult time.
