Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
I used to send myself surprises, but then package tracking became endemic. Now I obsessively stalk packages and hit ârefreshâ unrealistically often.
A hedgehog-shaped vegetable scrub brush? I suppose that falls into the âIt seemed so cute at the time, and had free shipping!â categoryâŠ
(At least that would be the likely reason one would show up in my kitchen; it would then end up in the workshop because it happened to be shaped just right for that parts cleaning jobâŠ)
This is what I want to see from BCN. Factual, informative, reporting, that brings us up to date with the events of the real world and educates us on its workings.
That âHedgie Veggie Scrub Brushâ looks like something you could order from a late night commercial like the âShamwowâ that that dude Vince was pitching about a decade ago or the âSnuggieâ that looks like a rip-off of Obi Wanâs robe nbut still look s comfortable none the lessâŠâŠâŠâŠ
So, I wonder if the heggie brush came from TAG? They do adorable animal themed kitchen wares. Looks exactly like something they would offer, (and I would surprise myself with.) On another note, my recent BCN Zazzle order split the mugs from the Pucky notebook and RCO magnet, and I forgot about the second package since it came in the mail! Best surprises are BCN surprises!!
A friend Ambien orders weird stuff then sends it to friends. I got a rubber chicken from him. It was wearing a yellow and black striped bathing suit and when pressed said âCheap! Cheap! Beer! Beer!â It scared the cats.
âThanks to my mother, not a single cardboard box has found its way back into society. We receive gifts in boxes from stores that went out of business twenty years ago.â
Today is Tesselation Dayâso I hope you are in Escherian shape.
Come on and
Tesselate!
Tesselate!
Anâ do it to the music!
Actually, thatâs what computer graphics types, especially those working in 3D, do all day. Quilters and knitters frequently do it. Geologists and crystalographers do it constantly. Tesselation is based on the mathematics of symmetry. There are only seventeen planar symmetry groups, but two-hundred-thirty space symmetry groups. From this point on, it becomes almost mind-numbingly complex, especially when one gets into non-Euclidean geometry.
Tesselations are surprisingly common in nature, especially in biology. The retinas in your eyes are an example. So in effect, we all tesselate. Music optional, unless you are âon the tiles.â
Iâve given up hope that this one will make it into the newspaper format because the children are getting a bit old for a stroller, but it remains my favorite BCN box adventure:
Iâm sure her Woman is delighted to have Beatrixâs help in sending out those boxes. Her Woman just needs to make sure that Beatrix isnât accidentally in one of those boxes when it gets sealed up.
OT Japanese cow clock â I looked on Ebay and found people selling this clock at anywhere between $249 and $998. I imagine whoever ended up with my sisterâs clock made a pretty penny off of it.
I just happened to by on Zazzle and I saw that through today you can get 30% off The Yellow Fuzzy Blanket if you were thinking of purchasing it. It seems like someone here purchased one but I donât remember if they gave a review of it.
For people trying to get rid of Stuff, and who have boxes around:
https://www.givebackbox.com/login
You may have to poke around to figure out how to create an account (I did it so long ago Iâve forgotten).
What it is, you can generate and print out a pre-paid label for UPS or FedEx (they seem to randomly choose one or the other) for one of the resale entities (mine usually end up to Goodwill â in Maryland [Iâm in Illinois], go figure). You pick a box, fill it up with Stuff, tape on the label and take it to a drop-off point. You can also enter a list of what you donated at the site, with an estimated value, and print that out for tax deduction.
Just be sure to scribble over any other labels, barcodes, or routing stickers. So, rather than throwing out those clothes that (for mysterious reasons) no longer fit in the waist, or the catfood bowls that youâve replaced with shallow plates, or âoh, my gawd, not another Red Rose figurineâ, or miscellaneous Cr*p that youâve finally admitted youâre not going to find a use for, put it in a box and Set It Free!

Elvis, that is not your new t⊠oh, wait. Cat. Of course it is. (Is a box fragile if Puck can jump on it?)

I like hedgehogs. My cats favorite toy is a two inch hedgehog that you can put catnip in its belly. They have three.

From Abba: Super Trooper
I was sick and tired of boring veggies
When I saw it last night on TV
All I do is scrub them âtill theyâre clean
Wishing every carrot was the last one
So imagine I was glad to place my order
Suddenly I feel all right
(And suddenly itâs gonna be)
And itâs gonna be so different
When I make my salad tonight!
âŠâŠ.
Tonight Hedgie Veggie brush is gonna find me
Scrubbing like the sun
Smiling, having fun
Getting my fresh soup all done
Tonight the Hedgie Veggie Brush will now remind me
Fresh and healthy food
Like I always do
But sometimes I need some junk food!
