Impulse buying is a serious addiction. hehehe

If he went to CVS, the receipt would be for just $6.49 and one item, but it’d be eleven miles long.

Either Earl is a big liar or he is a hoarder.

I prefer to do my over-spending at Lowe’s.

My problem is the bags. I take two bags into the supermarket as I’m not getting much and wind up needing three!! So now I take four no matter what.

So how much did you spend at the fabric store on your last trip, Opal?

Since I began doing the grocery run, I find myself looking for new foods and meal ideas that will add interest to the menu. We have remained close to home for so long, our usual choices have become bland, so every new taste is something to anticipate. If it turns out good, it perks us up. If we don’t like it, depending on we don’t , it’s still of interest and no harm done. Just means we get to try another choice next time. After all, gotta do something to balance the blues.

Going to True Value or Ace would be cheaper.

We do that at the grocery story a lot. Go in for one item, come out with 20.

Most of the time, I come home with less than I had planned because items were out of stock. Fortunately, HD and Lowe’s are right across the highway from each other and I can hit Wilco on the way home.

I heard about a wife who wouldn’t let her husband buy a house a block from the Home Depot.

Oh, yeah, that’s hubby… but in all fairness, if I walk into a jewelry store to get earring backs I could come out with a much higher receipt than that.

Home Depot is a man’s toy store.

It’s the dispenser.. solar powered.. infinite dispensing speed, auto cut off. And, this baby was on sale.

I hate shopping of any kind. However, let my wife loose in a Lowes or Home Depot Garden Center and she could quite easily spend $2-300 over what she was looking for. Which is why I always have an excuse to not drive her to any nursery in Tulsa, the last time she went to a big one she dropped well over $500

That happens to me all the time. Home Depot is my favorite toy store.

I lived in a small Florida city with a plethora of religious institutions. When asked by one of my pious neighbors which did I belong to, I told her that I was a very faithful member of The Church of Home Depot, where on any given Sunday, most of the guys in town congregated.

Last month you could buy a high end electric circular saw for less than a sheet of 1/2 inch low-end plywood.

Hardware stores are like that-can’t spend just a dime any more.

That has happened to me in Home Depot.

Not surprising with men, just look find out what Earl bought.

Husband drops me off at the fabric store while he goes to the hardware store(s). I am usually done shopping way before he is. Too much communication can be a problem. We agree that the secret to a happy marriage is not to compare receipts and we pay our bills through our own checking/credit accounts.

One of the things I like about delivery is not being distracted by the shiny things on the shelf when I am ordering from my list. Keeps the bill down to $189.94

At that place, either you wander up and down each isle being tempted by all the goodies like when you were a kid in a candy store or you have to tackle an employee if you can find one. Meanwhile, at Wisconsin’s Menard’s, everything is sold at a permanent 11% discount.

This comic reminds me more of Costco. I have never gotten out of there for less than $100.

For my husband, it’s not only places like Home Depot. He likes to do the grocery shopping (bless him), and he always comes home with more than was on the list. In his defense, though, I did the same thing.

Coulda been worse. He might have got one of those ‘’battery tool combos’’ that’s, one of everything, for $1395.00

Earl hasn’t learned that duct tape is not really good for much, especially not ducts. Gaffers tape is the best choice, with Gorilla tape not far behind.

That is some expensive duct tape.

Why didn’t he tell her where he was going before he left?
