I hope the Woman catches on that it’s all about the CAT FOOD!

You know . . . after the first one or two times, you might want to consider NOT putting your phone down where a certain cat can get to it!

That protest would get My attention!

Ah, yes, I see we’re yelling at the deaf cat again, a historically productive move. /sarcasm

Is that a new phone? I recall that the old one was doomed to butt-dial ghosts.

But this is no different to normal Lupin.

You would think after all this time without food, they wouldn’t have the energy for a protest. Has somebody been snatching a bite of the new food here and there?

I still love the big grin Lupin has whenever he’s making chaos!

…..but what happened with The Woman’s ankles?? Did he or didn’t he?

Lupin hits em hyoomans where it hurts the most — their smartyphones!

The Woman needs to catch on.

Lupin’s opening statement actually sounds like a (negative) TV ad campaign for the “health food.”

Looking at the time-line, wouldn’t this sequence have been written right around when IRL Lupin showed his first signs of heart problems? So the new non-food might have been on Vet’s orders.

Feed the kitty!

What I don’t get about this story line is that you’d think someone with her cat experience would know this is not how you introduce a new food.

During all of this, where is Goldie? We haven’t seen so much as a whisker since last Wednesday.

I hope she didn’t make good on her promise to go outside to find her own food!

Lupinium: It’s not supposed to be good for us, is it?

Thomios: Oh, no. It’s only meant to be delicious.

Puckmosis: What’s in it?

Thomios: It’s something the Royal Procurers suggested. And they aren’t telling.

Elvis-Anum: Well, never let it be said that I was unwilling to try something new.

Lupinium: Alright, I won’t say it.

Beatrixia: You wouldn’t try to sneak vegetables in the recipe, would you?

Thomios: Oh, just wholesome kibble and fish. (No need to tell them that the kibble contains vegetables.

The Queen: Well, Thomios, this meal is truly delicious.

When a cat gets something on its mind, chaos can ensue.

I think what Lupin meant to say was that the phone can rest when he has been fed “PROPERLY”

Cats hate change. Any changes to routine have to made gradually, slowly introducing a new food or liter, so they can get used to it.

I don’t know why it took me so long to make this connection…Lupin, are you & Smudge Lord related?

Just a heads up. Especially with elderly cats, it’s more important that they EAT, then that they eat premium. Never, EVER try and do the “they will eat when they get hungry enough”. Cats can quickly get serious conditions from not eating, including fatty liver. With our previous clowder we went through dozens of premium foods and still ended up back at Fancy Feast (i.e. kitty crack). Luckily our new furkid is okay with premium (Applaws) as long as it’s shreds in broth. We again went through many other brands before we found one he would eat consistently.

Yeah, guys, swat the phone to the floor, then cover it up with the new food. Maybe that will get through to her. If not, “You could pee on this.”

I think this calls for Swat Kats. Or just one particular one.

OT for space fans

Pitching objects is a form of speech that’s protected under the First Amendment.

Sometimes Colette will follow me to the kitchen and wait expectantly outside a random cabinet. I will open it for her. She will do a quick prowl then move on to another. It can take me a few minutes to catch on to the pantomime.

“Nope, no food there. Let’s try another one.”

No joke, our cat has started leaving litterbox things outside the litterbox and we cannot figure out why, but this comic gave me the idea that it might be because we switched out her food.

Let’s see, bloody ankles thanks to Elvis. Goldie threatening to run away and eat garbage again. Lupin playing keep away with the smartphone. Puck running around glaring.

The woman isn’t gonna get it any time soon. The cats want good, healthy food. Food THEY declare is healthy for them. Not that so called healthy food their willing to starve to death rather than eat because if. Clearly denotes it’s no healthy.

My cat likes to sit and stare at me when she thinks it’s time for her to be fed. Usually a hour before feeding time morning and afternoon (she sits there for a whole hour!). It can be unnerving at times, but I never give in. She is fed when it’s time.
