I guess the know it all loony left are not aware that this country was founded as a democratic REPUBLIC. It is NOT a democracy as you might think. Big word is REPUBLIC!!!
Interesting that so many commenters are opposed to Republicans voting for their best interest. Somehow, they believe it is a democracy if there is only one party.
Let’s make #4 the lead into what has to be done. The others are to keep us in mental and physical shape and being able to fight the traitors and their barbarian GULLible birdies.
You know, if you live long enough, there is an outside chance that your insanity can be cured…….How the HELL do you not know that the attempted coup was planned ahead of time? Traitor Trump’s handlers knew he was going to lose the election, in large part because of his legendary botch of Covid. And, because Trump is both extremely stupid and delusional, he thought that the preventing of the pro forma certification of the results of the election (which was, as all intelligent people know and all honest people admit, free, fair, honest, and legitimate) would somehow or other keep him in office even after losing the election. (The disgraced former general, Michael Flynn, even advocated declaring martial law. And if the mob—incited by the head traitor, one Donald John Trump—had succeeded in murdering Mike Pence, martial law might well have been declared.) We kept our democracy but it was at far greater risk than most people even realize.
I think that we need to talk more about Constitutional Democracy, where, regardless of the size of the majority, minorities(cultural, ethnic, religious, political, stupid) are protected by the Bill of Rights. “Congress shall make no law…” all the way to “…or to the people.”
I’d settle for remaining a republic, which is what the US actually is. I know, I know, the word “democracy” has taken on a larger meaning, so please don’t yell at me. :-)
In Wisconsin, More people voted for Democratic candidates than republican but the gerrymandered result is 64 republican districts. vs 38 Republican districts.
Stalin was right. People that vote have no power People that Count the votes have all the power.
Since we see “Let’s Go, Brandon!” here far too often, here’s a link to an article by someone who refers to the phrase as “the siren song of hateful people.”

That would be good. Unfortunately, approximately 40% of the voters are opposed to that last one. At least, according to the way they vote.

The last one won’t happen if the republigoons and their sycophants / apologists( some of which post in these threads ) have their way!

That last one is difficult in the face of those that would overturn a democracy to keep a Cult Leader in charge.

Some Americans might want to learn what a Democracy is, first. About 40% of us seem really confused.

Unfortunately, the 40% are more motivated to vote than the 60%. I don’t know if anyone knows how to motivate more of the 60% to cast ballots.

The Dems are voting for socialism but they aren`t smart enough to know it. The Dems are relying on the stupidity of the American voters.

I guess that’s that, then. Nobody keeps their resolutions, so this experiment in representative democracy is going to come to an end next year.

[insincere apologies for re-posting my poem, but it IS the first anniversary of the attempted coup coming up soon…..]
A Poem in Which Donald Trump Asks a Question—And Is Answered
“Can I join your Traitors Club?”
“Sure, come on in, you Flab O’ Flub!
Though latest’s leastest, I’ll be bound
Come right ahead, I’ll show you ’round
Now, over there is Benedict
And over here is Tricky Dick
At at that booth sits John Wilkes Booth
(He found non-treasoning uncouth)
The Rosenbergs, McCarthy, Cohn
(Your ass, I know, he soon will own)
And Neo-Nazis, Ku Klux Klan
And every racist also-ran
We let in others, too, like Quisling
(That’s him, not steaks, that you smell sizzling)
And also Casca, Cassius, Brutus
And, worst of all, our Flaming Judas!
So come on in, though air’s unwell
But what did you expect, in Hell?"
