I slept for ten years or more in the tiny living room of my apartment on a rocker-recliner with heat and vibration which also had a base that allowed it to be twirled around. I loved that chair. I was so sad when I had to leave it behind.
Nothing like a nice hammock. I used to have one strung out between a couple of live oaks in my back yard, used to be the perfect way to relax and listen to music or a baseball/football game on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. This kind of motivates me to go purchase a new one.
Hammocks, like beanbag chairs, are best for the young and agile with smoothly working joints. I think I could get into a hammock, but getting out would be an entirely different story.
We had conventional furniture, but Yang wouldn’t have been happy with his own hammock. For him the best place to sleep was anywhere one of the two-legged members of the household was settled in.
Tommy is so peacful and serene in his little swinging slice of heaven, he does not look like he wants to compete with you, just enjoy the harmony.
Tommy could be the world ambassador, he only wants to be happy, and hopes to provide happiness to everone else. That’s why he and Sophie are not paw pushing – Tommy knows how to be content, and let his partner have happiness, too.
I have a confession. I have never been in a hammock in all my time on this planet.
Oh sure, I have sat on a variety of chairs, some very comfortable, some…well, not so much. I have laid on hard mattresses and soft ones. I sat on a waterbed once…no thank you. For the last thirty years or so, I have not sat in many seats by myself. Usually, there is a furr-ball assigned by the Great Cat In The Sky to be on my lap demanding attention. Lately, that task of lap-cat has fallen to Hamilton in the evenings. I should point out that Hamilton doesn’t sit on your lap, as much as he seems to have been poured onto your lap.
Today, I am not even sure I could get into a hammock. Arthritis is very cruel and very limiting. However, based on seeing Tommy and his Woman-Person, I think I might have missed out on something very fun.

I had a hammock for a short period of time. It had metal ends to keep it wide, unfortunately, it wasn’t long enough. I’m tall, and kept kitting the metal ends when I would finally get semi comfortable.

Tommy’s Woman evidently has better luck with plants than the Woman. Or perhaps Tommy is too nice and Sophie is too polite to destroy them.

I like the way your Hawaiian shirt lays
Against your fur so brown
And I want to nap with you in your hammock tonight
With sweet cozy fleece all around
‘Cause you got a peaceful easy feelin’
And I know you won’t let me down
‘Cause we’re almost touchin’
On the ground

Maat-Tilda: We have a bit of space-time fabric left. Any ideas how to use it?
Sophititi: We could make a lovely robe for Her Majesty.
Maat-Tilda: Yes, but she already has so many.
Sophititi: And Beatrixia has a space-time climbing curtain.
Maat-Tilda: Then maybe someone who is an unsung hero.
Sophititi: Of course! Who else but our own Royal Chef?
