introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your

Itās amazing to me how many relaxation and ASMR videos are true crime based. I donāt personally find that to be relaxing. To each their own I suppose.
This program is about unsolved mysteries. Whenever possible, the actual family members and police officials have participated in recreating the events. What you are about to see is not a news broadcast.
[CUE UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME ROCK THEME]
[ROBERT STACK] Mailmen. Are they real, or simply a figment of an overworked feline journalistās imagination? This Woman says sheās spoken with one ā and that he rescued a kitten before her eyes. ā¦ A gentle heiress is said to haunt her former home along with a clowder of cats. What was the strange message they sent to the living on Halloween night? ā¦ A Siamese catās search for the truth takes him on a bizarre journey into the obliteration of the universe. He was never seen again, UNTIL his rescue by a most unlikely angel. Join me! Perhaps YOU may be able to help solve a mystery.
Pucky, they were in a bad situation and most likely moved in with one of the local tribes. Thereās DNA studies that support this. Thereāre plenty of unsolved weird things that you could be paying attention to! Maybe Dr. Scuttles has some suggestions?
True crime podcasts may not be the most relaxing but they are entertaining. My husband and I are finishing up listening to āIn the Darkā season 2. I recommend both seasons to everyone who likes investigative journalism. I really donāt know how we avoided binge listening to the entire series! Looking forward to season 3, hopefully coming soon.
Happy Motherās Day to everyone who celebrates it!
OMC, THIS. I donāt listen to podcasts but sometimes Iāll watch YT vids about true crime, like cold cases that were solved years later. I guess itās mostly just morbid curiosity. Though Iām also more prone to watching stuff about ghosts, which usually means I stay up with the lights on all night. And thatās called relaxing! :D
I used to fall asleep to Forensic Files gently playing in the background on the TV every night, then TuneIn Radio started offering HLN on their streaming service so I could play that on Alexa and didnāt have to have the light from the TV. Then HLN changed their programming and FF isnāt on every night and itās appalling!! Iām so bummed.
Iām sure this strip will end up on the front of our refrig with a āThis is you!ā note from hubby. I love my true-crime mystery podcasts, and I have indeed solved the Roanoke mystery by listening to podcasts.
Marie, Holly-Bear, Mittens, and Belle like watching documentaries about serial killers. Sometimes when I walk through the room, eight pairs of eyes watch me in silence for a moment and then turn back to the show. Should I worry? Are these documentaries or āhow-toā shows?
I must be getting old because I keep finding myself agreeing with Elvis lately. I do love learning about Roanoake, though, so I will give Puck and the Woman that.
Happy Motherās Day, all! No matter if the ones you āmotherā are 2- or 4-footed species and no matter if the kids in question are birthed, adopted, or just loved!
No, Iām with Elvis here, Puckāif nobodyās solved it in the, what is it now? Past 200 years or so? Then you arenāt going to be able to do so with just a single podcast.
And there was a prosthetic hook on the door to the sinister attic where a dead computer was printing out scripts for āAmericaās Most Hauntedā and no one was ever able to NOT see them again !!!!!
So to test out the new graphics card Iāve installed in my computer, Iāve been playing the game Control, which is basically a love letter to the Internet phenomenon known as āthe SCP Foundationā. (If you like being creeped out by the super/supranatural, you might want to give it a look; one of the entries is entitled āThe Flesh that Hatesā.) Both practice the trope ānothing is scarierā by blocking out sections relating to how the subjects operate or were discovered; more than a few entries involve something like āafter the ritual was completed, the object began to glow, proceeding to [DATA EXPUNGED] resulting in ā,āāā casualtiesā.
@Georgia Dunn Speaking of true crime showsā¦ If you ever get a chance and are interested, I had a small acting part in a People Magazine Investigates: The Long Island Serial Killer. I played the ironically named Dr Peter Hackett in the 1st or 2nd episode of the series. No lines to speak of, (pun not intended) but a few scenes Iām the only one on screen. Was a lot of fun!
After having survived an ER rotation in med school, I have seen enough crime victims in my life. I prefer a different flavour of podcast. But whatever floats your boat.
I must be too old for podcasts. I donāt know why. I loved radio when I was a kid even after my family got a TV. I listen to things like Fred Allen and Dragnet in the car.
Not with a podcast, Puck. If the Lost Colony mystery was so easy it could be solved with a podcast then it would have been solved by the Jamestown colonists centuries ago. That was a part of the Jamestown mission, try to figure out what happened to the Roanoke Island colony.
Patti Smith (yes that Patti Smith) is still working on her detective novel. If she follows her earlier pattern and records her own audiobook version of it, Georgia may have the chance to hear one of the most soothing speaking voices in audiobook history reading her spinechilling tale of bloody awful murder, blackmail, hardworking investigators and whatever else sheās got in there.

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Beatrixia: I just love to look at the history scrolls in the Great Pyramid Library. The 900s are a treasure trove of information.
Sophititi: Speaking of treasure, Tillie, Adobe Style, and I are planning to do a series of tapestries on the lost pyramid.
Beatrixia: Iāve heard of that. Legend has it that thereās a pyramid located somewhere near the oasis somewhere near Afar.
Sophititi: Yes. I believe King Katfu mentioned it in one of his scrolls when he was deciding what to do with the Great Pyramid his father built.
Bea: Yes, I have a scroll of his diary. Hereās one passage:
I am still not sure if the Great Pyramid can be renovated to my satisfaction. Perhaps I should list it for sale and purchase a new one near the oasis.
Sophititi: In the end he decided to love the Great Pyramid. But there has been much speculation on where the one he was considering is located.
Bea: Maybe the secret is in one of the 900 scrolls.

One smile and suddenly no cat else will do;
You know youāll never be lonely with you know who.
One moment in his presence
And you can forget the rest.
For the cat is second best
To none,
Hamilton
Ooooh! Sigh! Give him your attention.
Doā¦Iā¦really have to mention?
Heās the One?
He walks into a room
And you know
Heās un-Commonly rare, very unique,
Peripatetic, poetic and chic.
He walks into a room
And you know from his
Maddening pose, effortless whirl,
Heās a special cat,
Stroll-ing,
Canāt, help,
All of his qualities extol-ling.
Loaded with charisma is my
Jauntily sauntering, ambling shambler.
He walks into a room
And you know you must
Shuffle along, join the parade.
Heās the quintessence of making the grade.
This is whatcha call
Trav-ling.
Oh, strut your stuff!
Canāt get enough
Of him
Love him
Iām a son of a gun,
He is one of a
Kindā¦
One singular sensation
Every little step he takes.
One thrilling combination
Every move that he makes.
One smile and suddenly no cat else will do;
You know youāll never be lonely with you know who.
One moment in his presence
And you can forget the rest.
For the cat is second best
To none,
Son.
Ooooh! Sigh! Give him your attention.
Doā¦Iā¦really have to mention?
Heās the One?
