A great way to get some peace and quiet from Danae and make her think she won. Wonder if we could patent that idea so others in the world to truly bring peace to Planet Earth.
Iāve been coerced into playing āHide nor seekā and I always try to get Kateās roll. Then I spend a few minutes actually looking, then I get my book.
Iāll bet those toes are getting wrinkly under those shoes.
Iām getting too old to play with my niece. Sheāll challenge me to a race, and Iāll agree. Then once she starts to run off, Iāll say, āOkay, you win by default.ā She doesnāt like that for some reason.
They were cleaning out a storage room at the convention center, and they found a skeleton behind a crate. Pinned to the clothing was a badge: ā1973 Hide-and-Seek National Championship ā Sven Olsonā
Hide in seek (yeah āinā, weird I know, but there you are) is one of my favorite games. My favorite hiding place was over in the neighborās house watching TV.
I have heard of being āitā in a game of tag but never in hide-and-seek. I always thought that position was called āGo, hide.ā :)
Some of my cats would play a game with me I call āMeow and seekā. Once I learned the rules, it was fun. Yes, I did have to meow when it was my turn to hide.
The It role is the seeker. The game is simple for the hider. Find the closest place to home base with good cover Minimize running and dodging. If possible be closer than the seeker before making your move.

I like her alternate meaning of āitā (just add two letters to the beginning to get her drift). Sheās right. āItā happens. ;-)

I thought āitā was the person doing the seeking, not the person hiding.

It was always more fun to figure out great hiding places than to actually play the game.

Dad still needs to send her outside to read/play as it is a nice day.

When we played, āitā was the seeker, not the finder. Once found, thatās when you become āitā and the roles swap.

At least Danae is frequently out and about outside, getting fresh air exercise. Unlike her sister who appears to be a couch potato.
