So did Jules bounce off of the woman’s hand after his tiny high with Puck, or did the woman finally lose it and swat Jules on his way? My mom was one of those calm, easy going folks who almost never lost her temper, but when she did, she went from zero to category 5 hurricane, and it took her awhile to unload everything that had been bothering her sine the last time she blew.
Today (July 30th in Australia) is Sultan’s second Gotcha day. To celebrate he snuck out the back door and went up the tree out back! ARGHHHHHH!!! I almost fell several times, and poor Jason is not doing well after the pain block wore off from his Cortisone shots… So we leave the back door open and hope he comes in.
He’s done that before. Sneaks out, and then at dinner time comes strutting in, like nothing is wrong!
He’ll go when he’s ready. July 30 seems like a good time. I love the tiny high fives that really represent his odd relationship with our main cast. Until next year, terrible friend.
First night in bathroom went OK. No crying at all. Tried giving him his medicine mixed in his wet food but he didn’t touch it. So tried with the syringe. Got half in his mouth. Had him wrapped up in a blanket like a purrito. Layed him in the sink so I could hold his head. During the struggle he turned the faucet on!!! That’s where I gave up for the night. This morning put it in the wet food and mixed it better. So far he ate about a quarter of it. He has been licking the wound and the bleeding seems to have stopped. I’m still going to keep him in there for his safety since he likes to run around and jump on the entertainment center and book cases. When I do go in there he’s all lovey dovey and full of purrs, so he doesn’t seem to be mad at me.
I said it earlier this year or some time last year. Only cutting off his head will defeat Jules once and for all. So if they want to defeat him, their gonna need a sword.
It occurs to me that the Woman really didn’t want to A) touch Jules and B) also didn’t want to hurt him. Hence her reluctance to shove Jules out. No wonder she is shrieking when Jules high-fives her.

Two points of view about freedom. The woman believes in the right of freedom from imprisonment and Jules in a person’s freedom to annoy everyone.

Jules acts shady
Bugs the lady
High fives for her hand
Google-eyed
Crooked smile
One bluesy music fan
Now he’s leavin’
You should’ve seen him
Dancing to his jam
And now he’s ready
Always stands free
Tiny dancer on the lam
Come no closer, tiny dancer!
Count the tail lights on the fireflies
‘Bye, best house you’ve ever been in
You had a buzzy day today

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, – and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of – wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air…
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or ever eagle flew –
And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Puckmosis: What’s been taken besides cheese?
Miss Marvel (Jane): I understand the Water Cat Brothers have noted some of their catch has gone missing.
Violet-Ifa: At least the Space Time Anemones are all accounted for. And I hope for the thief’s sake they don’t take any Blossoms of Blessing.
Jane: Yes. Anyone taking a Blossom of Blessing dishonestly brings great misfortune upon themselves.
Ta-Natash: Why don’t we ask some discreet questions?
Puckmosis: Sounds good.
