Place Tiff gently on a couch. Do not give her to Les.. he may drop her.

Keep talking to Tiff and keep her awake. If a burglar really is in there.. he’s hiding. Let him keep hiding. Odds are, any burglar that went in there is long gone.

Oh, and after you call the cops, call Gunther. Tell him " Tiff’s hurt..Code Mordock! " . He’ll know what to do. LOL

Burglars, possibly. Would make a lot more sense if a ground level window was broken.

Well whaddya know? Tiff may just have had a concussion, and she’s still acting like the most sensible person in the room.

When the police arrive, what will they find? A burglar? Or a baseball? Or …?

If these fools don’t call the cops and get her to a hospital I’m going to scream

Reads like a sitcom where actors panic and do all the wrong things….It would have been better if Tiff remained unconscious and they call 911. Her saying “burglars” and “cops” confuse these two idiots.

Les and Ox remind me of Reggie Mantle and Moose Mason. I guess those “types” are part of a Campbellian universality.

We find ourselves looking forward to the Tiffany focused stories – It seems like the strip became more interesting when Tiffany began to be more human and less of a stereotype. I remember that, when Nellie Olson grew up and became more human, the series became more interesting than it had been when Nelie and Laura were always pulling dirty tricks on each other.

Ox and Les have not thought of dialing 911?

Cop Ox was the number Tiff took down if she needed help, so when she says “Cops, Ox” in last panel maybe she’s mentally still trying to dial. Tif is there because she freaked out over a broken window and tried to dial while running down stairs. Les is there to play hero, as long as he doesn’t have to do anything like face a burglar. Ox is there out of concern for Tif who when this is over just might shut the door in his face again. Three stooges…

Don’t do ANY of this at home, kids.

Ox, you shouldn’t move Tiffany because you might accidentally kill her and then Les will have to put you down.

Les is right, you must never move anyone after such a fall, let’s hope Tiffany’s neck and spine are fine. Is sweet to see how Tiffany wants to be protected by Ox. But now they have to call an ambulance and the police!

OK. This first aid and rescue mission has reached ridiculous proportions. So much for Ox remembering from his football days NOT to move someone who is down (as commenters previously mentioned).

Oh, great—now Tiffany will be paralyzed for life!! And “Mr. Moneybags” will sue and get possession of The Fuse!!

Tiffany is on the floor, barely able to talk and Ox wants to know if she is hurt! I knew he wasn’t very bright. Then after she says she fell he picks her up and carries her around! Dim bulb.

Les is starting to make sense.

Les is right in that you are never supposed to move an injured person. However, in this case they might be in danger.

Get out of the house first, then call 911. They’ll dispatch the cops and an ambulance.

Sorry Les, but I don’t think Ox is gonna trust you to carry Tiffany. Call the cops and the medics right away.

Reading comments, which I shouldn’t but can’t help doing, infliences what Im going to say and today is no exception. Everyone seems to focus on things one should do with a trauma victim first being not to move them until paramedics arrive. But remember this Luannverse, not real life, and it’s played for hilarity not realism although underlying are real emotions. What happens going forward is the driver. This arc appears to have more legs to it. Watch the characters, not their actions day to day.

Sunday: Frank wonders why nothing exciting happens any more. :-/

I’m beginning to really hate Les!!!!!

In the first panel. the lowest stain on Les’ apron looks like an exclamation point, mimicking his surprise at hearing of “burglars”. When he asks to hold Tiffany in the third panel, the stain has changed to something else that I’m having a hard time not associating with something more risque’ . :-/

Les, and, a woozy Tiffany on a couch. Knowing Les’s past.. proclivities, is that a good idea?

Never had I ever expected that a comic strip would leave me hanging in anticipation so much that I couldn’t wait to read it the next morning, during the break-in, and stumble on the stairwell…Great job!
