Now he’s really cursing! It looks like this situation is the last thing the machine operator expected. Anyway, he hit the kill switch in time a avoid the worst things you might have imagined, but he’s decidedly not in a happy mood.

Well this is what we know;

1. He’s not dead(darn it)

2. He’s not brain damaged(more than before)

3. He’s good at cursing (not unusual)

4. This story lives on!( sigh)

Good morning™, disaster rescuers !

Yup. Old Steely’s “implants” have been saved. …Wondering if he’ll be gone before any police types find their way into the facility looking for injured motorists. And they will be when the left behind plate is discovered at the alley.

That all hinges on any kind of collision having happened which appears to have but was it minor enough that the truck driver, whose vehicle may only have scratches on its bumper, would like not doing all that paperwork thus avoiding any police presence which if there was one, Steely wouldn’t be free right now. Did he drive the car in or did he walk to the hospital ?  It is looking to me that he made a clean getaway as long as staff doesn’t bring the law based on any bad suspicions.

I like the P. 2 “rays of drama” at the top.

Well it’s official, he’s the bad guy because he used a bad word.

Like machine shop machinery; this one should have the big red “kill” button.

“Wait, Uncle Steelface? Is that you?”

We’ve reached a critical moment in the story. Which means tomorrow’s strip will feature another scene from “Derby Dugan The Musical.”

As I’ve said before, a slow story slows even further when it goes to two-panel days and the reader gets even less information.

2-NURSE: Hmmm. I remember this guy as having a nice complexion and a 3 day stubble when we put him in there. I must be thinking of someone else OH MY! CALL AN AMBULANCE! Oh. Wait… Uh, call our lawyer!

He can still scream so perhaps this is just his origin story… XD

I think it would be interesting to branch into the “white eye” occurrences in the Tracyverse. Maybe it is a medical thing, Leukocornea, only without the real life side effects. There could simply be a genetic reason for some people to not have a cornea, or to have a white cornea.It could be a good story regarding bigotry and bullying. We sort of did that with Honeymoon when her antenna first started to mature. She is also showing signs of the second iris that the Lunarian’s possess. Then, of course, we have Annie. Younger school kids can be pretty vicious, when it comes to differences in appearance. Glasses, braces, hairstyle, piercings, tattoos, they are all things that can quickly place a person into a specific “type” that is then ostracized. It can really get bad when the local PTA begins to meddle and dress codes, or other forms of uniformity control are implemented. We also have Crystal Austin, who’s eyes are always hidden by her bangs. Where does she fall in this? The world, may never know.Maybe we could have a story about a news reporter with Leukocornea, that is discriminated against and not allowed on camera because of his/her blank stare. I don’t know. It is definitely a world event sort of story, but hard to fit into a crime drama strip. Maybe a police officer who always wears mirrored sunglasses to hide the fact he has Leukocornea? There are a bunch of possibilities. Have to think on it.

Ouch! At least the nurse is uncaging Arceneaux while he is still alive and complaining!

The nurse will help him as soon as she grows eyeballs so she can see what the heck she’s doing
