Hmmm…wondering why GnK thinks we’d like to revisit that wedding gown? Only Toni would. It was her special day. My daughter-in-law’s sister had her wedding yesterday and I already forgot what her dress looked like. I only remember it was white and silk. Not sure if she wore 3/4 sleeve or above the sleeve…did she have a train? Was the neckline scooped or sweetheart? Well, I am sure it was beautiful and that Cassandra felt radiant in it. That’s all that counted.
A slightly more colorful version may be found here: https://www.gocomics.com/luann/2016/12/05Go on six days to Dec. 11 to see Greg, his wife Betty, and Karen attending Brad and Toni’s wedding. Shannon was the flower girl.
Could it be an indication that a Brad or Toni Jr. is on the way? Could be worth a couple of weeks of 3AM wake-ups, spitting up on Brad’s shoulder, Pa & Ma DeGroot goo-gooing over baby, Luann asking where do babies come from, etc. (◠‿◠)
For our newer readers—welcome! Is this wedding week throwing you for a loop? We will get you all caught up! For our long time fans, you may be wondering: what is with the wedding of Brad and Toni this week? Didn’t that happen in 2016?!
Yes, it did! Due to an unexpected tech glitch in the distribution system, the planned storyline for this week couldn’t make it to our print or digital clients by deadline. So! We are revisiting this magical week from 2016 and will pick up with Tiffany at her mansion next week.
Brad and Toni’s relationship is an incredible story—which you can revisit or discover for the first time in an extensive story collection!—but it also gave fans a chance to get involved: we hosted a contest to design Toni’s wedding dress, collected well-wishes for the bride and groom, and invited fans to share their own dating stories.
We’ll be back to our current storyline next week—in the meantime, we hope you enjoy celebrating the marriage of Brad and Toni, starting with Volume 1: A Career, A Fire, A Rescue

It will be nice to see the wedding week again, and maybe next week we find out how the window got broken and Tiffany can quit being such a paranoid, spoiled baby. She’s being cast as such a scared victim now-days. Her timid attitude is really starting to annoy me as the story drags on to a probably unrealistic ending. When your family owns property, and you’re the only one around, you have to pull on your big pants and investigate/resolve when there’s a problem. She called Ox and then immediately told Ox to call the police. Why didn’t she just call the police herself and wait outside? Is there no 911 service in their town? Instead, she freaks out, falls down the stairs and then mooches off her friends for a month? I don’t get it. I hope they fix it.
Maybe the Saudis are starting to mess with our daily comics? First they have totally ruined professional golf, so now they decided to mess with our comics. I am not blaming the Arab people, just the few who have enough power to do such things.

This inspired me to look at the wedding dress contest on the Luann site. Wow! There were some really pretty dress designs! (Definitely regret having taken a break from reading comic strips cause I’d have submitted a design, if I’d been reading at the time) I really like the one that won, though I’d prefer a veil over ribbons (still really lovely though. The runner-up Alicia’s was my favorite though I imagine it might have been harder to translate to the strip in b/w.
The firehose jugs one was pretty hysterical though, I kinda want to imagine a world where that one won cause people who didn’t know it was for a contest would think Greg was too much of a fan of Katy Perry’s California Girls music video.
If you subscribe to luannfan.com, you would have received the explanation from Greg and Karen about the glitch. They will resume Tiffany at the mansion next week. :-)The box with Puddles at the bottom of the page connects to the website.
According to the Rip Haywire strip, they are in a week of reruns over there while GoComics catches up on issues created by their breakdown in November. More than one strip is doing that, I guess.

Yay! It’s Toni! But why are we seeing the old winner of the dress contest?
This is very unusual.

Can anybody figure out why Greg would post this again?
