As if Wiley Bears were not enough!

Crazy cat lady. Has a dozen at home and will probably take three more

Zooological breakthrough: Cats are now learning from bears.

Good thing birds can’t read.

We’re so sorry, but your bird died. We have disposed of the body. We did save a few feathers and the beak and claws, if you would like them…

So, we now have Wiley cats as well as Wiley bears.

I see a little self-interest at work here.

They should have specified “small birds”.

“Clinic for gifted, English-spelling cats.”

Those cats found something they can work on together.

I thought birds weren’t real?

From where I sat I saw the cat chasing a rat, I followed them here I followed them there then I fell down the stair.

“We specialize in small bird and rodent tonsil-ing.”

I thought I saw a puddy cat

Cats have been reading the Wiley Bear arcs. But, with usual cat cunning, they have brought the hunt to the game instead of waiting for it.

Wiley Cats, the “grasshoppers” to Wiley Bears.

Wait in the bushes beneath the windows. The thud of the bird flying into it will wake you.

If this works and a bird is interested enough to come in, we might find out that “curiosity fed the cat”.

Our vet has two doors: a dog side and a cat side. I have no idea which side to use for other animals.

Birds kill 2.4 billion song birds in the U.S. every year, sadly.

From what I understand feral cats kill billions of birds. It is amazing as I have a two ferals and hundreds of birds at the feeder a day. Haven’t see any signs of feathers indicating the cats are decimating the birds. I feed the cats which helps, I imagine.

Why do the cats and the birds need a parking lot?

I adopted one cat after seeing her in the window of a bird store in Berkeley. When I got her home, she literally ran around inside the house for half an hour before settling down. She had been stuck in that display window in a store full of raucous birds for three days. Betsy was the most athletic cat I ever knew. She would jump off a second-story roof onto the fence. Such a jock!

She spent most of one week in a huge 200-year-old oak tree next door, until she realized that squirrels had an unbeatable tactical advantage. They could run along the bottom of the large tree limbs. :)

Our last two vets have specialized in cats. Both great.

The different font on the bottom sign reminds me of the song snippet from Snoopy Come Home: [low voice] No Dogs Allowed! [high voice] Or Birds.
