Getting a little personal, sharing the bathroom with us.

Turn that faucet on, but make sure you stand back quickly. He probably won’t get in there again.

Twig doesn’t lay in the sink, but as soon as I start getting ready for bed, she’s in there trying to drink from the faucet. I leave it drip for a few minutes, just to make her happy. I’m butter in her paws! :D

I’ve had cats beg for water at the sink. You turn it on and they bat at the stream.

I had a cat that would only drink from a dripping faucet. I’ve heard that the reason some cats do that is because the faucet water is colder than that from a bowl.

Only a cat person would understand this.

I used to be, because they are friendly and cuddly… but they clawed too much of my furniture, knocked too many valuable things off the shelves, and decided they didn’t like their litterbox. It’s been 5 years since I threw the last one out, after he crapped on some important papers, and I’m still finding their hair and other things when I move furniture.

I’ve been owned by several cats over the decades and never had a sink cat until recently. Drinks out of the faucet, looks for who knows what in the drain, sits in the sink like he owns it. Crazy.

I like dogs. They don’t sit in a sink, and only drink from the water bowl. I’ve never had a dog drink from the toilet either.

Once I had a cat that like sleeping in kitchen sink, until I turned on the disposal. It was an accident…. I swear!

I have leaned against the wall to put my shoes on, because there were cats on all the handy chairs

Cat people don’t make their cats move any more than necessary

My Mom has a spray bottle full of water. If her cat is doing something she shouldn’t do my Mom holds it up and the cat immediately stops.

I also left our Fat Louie to sleep in the bathroom sink. He only did it in the summertime, so I always assumed it was for the comfort of the cool porcelain. Our German Shepherd, a Viet Nam veteran, also had a standing reservation for the bathtub for three days of the 4th of July with blankets to burrow into.

The sink is a nice bowl shape for sleeping.

One of our Rottweilers would go paws up on the kitchen sink and drink from the faucet. His water bowl was full, he just wanted to drink from the faucet. I miss the big goof.

You should do what Lupin does in Breaking Cat News and use the sink to turn invisible.

I guess she had to go to the kitchen sink to wash her hands after using the toilet.

That might be true if it wasn’t for the fact that almost nothing on earth is cuter than a cat in a sink.

Yet one more reason to adore cats. And I certainly do.

There must be limits!

Step 1: Give him a cat bed and blanket to snuggle in.

Step 2: Turn on the faucet when he’s in the sink and you want to wash you’re hands.

He’ll learn pretty quickly.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

I read that megalomaniacs dislike cats, but some folks are just allergic to cats.

They’re great on a cold night.

Do not understand the appeal of cats. To me they have no redeeming qualities. Now dogs, on the other hand…

My cats have also acquired a fondness for the kitchen sink.

I totally understand, we currently have 2 cats-12yo-Himalayan-and her Persian littermate which we have had since they were born, their mother was a Himalayan that a friend of my wife gave to us when she was 12 weeks old

The King of Id is on the “throne” today, too.

I don’t know if John Lennon was a cat person, but in “Norwegian Wood” he did crawl off to sleep in the bath.

….and that’s when he’s on his relatively good behavior.

Don’t forget to wash the cat too…..

Silly, Janis. All you had to do was turn the faucet on. Might have had one or two repeat incidents after that, but by the third or fourth time all you’d have to do is REACH towards the faucet and that feline would scram.

It’s ok when my cat does that. The kitchen sink is closer to the hot water, anyway.

Many cats like sleeping in sinks because cats are liquid.

Dogs do it as well, they can be just as quirky, especially the really little ones.

Cool porcelain on a hot day. What’s not to get?

One of ours used to climb into the tub and then chase his tail, but he’s older and now only goes in there to nap.

I can’t. I don’t understand people hating cats (or dogs, or any animal). I can understand people hating humanity (although not hating people in general if that makes sense).

On warmer days, the porcelain is cool. The three cats that I’ve had have all discovered the sink and the tub, to cool off. And an occasional drink.
