Tiffany lucks out! Daddy will make the Manse safe again!

So how did he hear about the break-ins? Love to know that one.

Is it just me or does Tiff’s face/nose look a little odd in the 3rd panel?

Geez, where does he get his news? Most newspaper don’t cover local stuff like that anymore. Unless there was a killing? So what does the derelict father plan to do to protect his neglected protege? Round the clock rent-a-cops making it impossible for Tiffany to do anything fun? The Concept of coming home and WFH seems beyond the Pale.

Looks like Daddy om is on the ball here. Good to see him looking after his daughter. So now we’ll have a security upgrade fo rthe summer. What shape will it take and what (mis)adventures will it bring us?? The sky’s the limit!

Sounds like Daddy Dearest isn’t planning on being IN the “Manse” for the summer. :(

Obviously, no Fiji trip now, if Tom is making sure she is “safe in the house for the summer”.

Something to consider: since it is Tom’s mansion, it would make sense that the authorities would inform him of break-in situations. And if this is the case, he might wonder why his daughter didn’t inform him.

Tiffany has gotten more mature over the last two years. Good for her.

He is going to set up cameras through the house so he can watch everything that goes on there.

As my Brother would say I have my spy’s in town that are watching your every move and I think Tom has the same with Tiff.

I have to wonder—if Tiffany tells her father about her injury, he’ll postpone his dollar-chasing and come home to her.

So do G&K realize that the storyarc that led to the mansion break-in began right at the end of last summer? Just how long has this business trip of his been anyway?

Did Tiff say “four” by accident or to fess up? Either way, cat’s coming out of the bag soon, I guess.

It could also be that if her dad knows there has been three break-in’s he’s testing her to see if she can be honest. If yes, then, security get sugraded. If not, then she might be out of the Manse.

My guess is that he plans on getting a dog or a live-in person/property manager.

Tom isn’t entirely a bad parent. He has heard that there have been some break-in and wants to protect his daughter. However, it’s weird that he doesn’t know one of these happened at his mansion… I think more and more that he knows everything and just waits for Tiffany to tell him spontaneously. I wonder how often they call each other. Seems less that once a week, maybe once at month?

SO, no island summering. Dad’s schedule doesn’t allow it as he said he’s crazy busy. So Tiff is stuck in Pittsville for another summer. Will Bets return as a summer roommate? Perfect way for Gunther to skip the guesthouse for the summer and for Les to have it all to himself. Win-win for everyone except Tiff – she so wanted to summer on Fuji,

Perhaps Tiffany should set up some Home Alone style traps.

Parents seem to KNOW everything in this Strip.

Which probably means that Gunny’s parental units KNOW about Bets sleeping over at the Gulag and are merely giving the “perpetrators” sufficient rope to HANG themselves.

And I’ll bet a cup of hot COFFEE that “conversation” would be no where near as “pleasant” as THIS one is. ;-)

Looks like Tiff is avoiding a chance to come clean. Typical (of teens – been there, done that).

He knows about the other break ins, but he doesn’t know that his own house was broken into?

Now that it has been confirmed for a few days that it was indeed a break-in, how come nothing was stolen or Tiff never mentioned anything being stolen? What kind of robbers break into a luxury mansion and leave without taking anything? And if they were squatters then Tiff would have found them sleeping somewhere.

I mean, Tiff was planning not to mention the break-in to her dad. Ok, she could cover it up by fixing the broken window. But if something of value has been stolen, dad is bound to find out. So logically, nothing has been stolen. Which brings me back to my question. What kind of thieves break in and steal nothing? They just took photos of dad’s classified documents?

Tiffany’s first reaction is not one of feeling safe at the Manse.

Dad has been gone for over a year now, I could understand if he was an engineer building a dam but a lawyer? How many white dress shirts and ties did he pack?

If it was a break in/robbery, we still haven’t had an account of what was taken! Perhaps it was Walt, looking for a place to crash! It was his forte at Mooney.

For someone whose only wish is too impress their father and earn his love, Tiffany should consider how he’s going to feel when he finds out she’s been withholding the information and actually lying to him about the break-in at HIS house. Her attitude that he doesn’t have a right to know about it (as the actual homeowner) is right in line with the continuing attitude of these characters toward other people’s property – which is – “do anything you want with it no matter who actually owns it”.

I suppose you can have all sorts of electronic security but a huge and essentially empty house is still a target. Tom needs to get at least one other person (preferably a couple), caretakers, who will be there around the clock. I wouldn’t want to live there all by myself no matter how many alarms, security cameras and outdoor lights were installed.

Tiff lives in an upscale “hood”. High taxes and high crime, the best of both worlds.

Tom knows about the break in at other people houses, but not his own? And, how is he going to make Tiffany feel safe living by herself in the manse? Alarm system, security patrol, hiring staff to move in?

A thief that doesn’t take anything is a fool, a thief that takes something without person knowing is a genius.

If he knows about the other 3 he knows about the breakin at his house. He’s giving Tiffany the chance to tell him herself. I can’t decide if this is good parenting considering her past actions but he does seem to want to be a good dad.

Why would Tom not know about the 4th break-in, considering it was reported to the cops (and therefore the info was passed along to the media like the other 3 were)? Bad enough that as a homeowner he was kept out of the loop by the hospital/insurance/cops, but to have a totally wrong number altogether? Has the below strip been retconned away already?

SO CLOSE to being truthful! Now Tiffany is stuck in her lie. Maybe tomorrow she’ll come clean with dad. Does she honestly believe he won’t notice a repaired door and window?

So what is Tom’s plan to keep Tiffany safe this summer? I hope he hires some live in help, but high would also keep her from getting too lonely. Or perhaps he will upgrade their security system but a security system is only as good as the people who use it and Tiff has proven she’s pretty irresponsible in that arena. Maybe he will hire a handsome security guard????

What strangeness is this?! Daddy Farrell has been keeping track of the home-neighborhood crime situation, and has taken steps (yet to be revealed in any detail) to insure safety and security for Tiffany as she summer-sits the manor?! Is he becoming a more thoughtful father?
