I love how ready for action Ora Z is, and Iggy’s sweet, fangs out “pretty please” is adorable. But thanks to Goldie, Mom Cat can breath a sigh of relief, for now.
I have a feeling the two smallest cats are going to be searching for the door into summer. Here’s hoping Burt catches them on the nature cam if they do manage to escape and Baba can intercept them since they have to go past or through the farm to get to the wild lands.
Speaking of important members of the Orb, has anyone heard from shaunnmunn or her sister Lalybarger lately. Shaunn’s bday is in Oct. I have to triple check the date since I really bungled it last year. If you are in touch with them please send my love and prayers that they ate doing well and are greatly missed. Thanks.
Ok, I mentioned making orange Creamsicle ice cream last night so here’s how. To make one gallon:
1 quart whole milk
1 quart heavy cream
1 cup sugar
2 to 3 teaspoons vanilla
2 cans orange soda (I get the store brand. Sometimes I use black cherry soda instead.)
Mix everything together and put in a one gallon freezer. Follow the instructions for your freezer. You can also leave out the soda for vanilla, or add other flavorings.
Elvis-Anum: Puckmosis, good to see you back. How was the Salubrious Spa?
Puckmosis: It feels great to be back. I’m ready to take care of palace business.
Ora Z: Did you know we found a new sorta pyramad?
Puckmosis: Why sorta?
Ora Z: It’s kinda lopsided. We think it may be the You Call This a Pyramid of legend.
Puckmosis: I’ll bet there are some scrolls telling about the pyramid. Elvis and Bea should be able to find out.
*The Next Day*
Beatrixia: I was able to find a few scrolls about a pyramid that appears to be in the approximate location of the one Ora Z found. Here is a quote from the great builder Appomattox:
We quarried limestone, but were hasty about building. It was said that when there was a shortage of stonemasons and the apprentices were not well trained. The result was a serviceable but lopsided building I am not sure is worthy to be called a pyramid. But it was still useful for what it housed.
Elvis: Sounds like there may be some valuable items hidden within the You Call This a Pyramid.
Iggy: I hope it’s not just some gold and jewels. We already have so much of that.
Puck: But the Artisans would be able to use it in their projects.
Lupinium: Right now they’re busy sorting out the surplus of space-time fabric.
Puckmosis: Well, you guys start the exploration while Elvis and I do research through the scrolls. I would suggest you invite Violet-Ifa along as well.
Ora Z: Can’t wait. Now all we need are supplies from the Royal Kitchen.
Yes, as someone said yesterday, it is for the kittens’ safety. Definitely stay away from the windows. The People would not be pleased to see Goldie outside.
Sorry, Goldie! Wrong answer. Best answer to a determined unusually small cat like OZ would be a completely wrong one that would get the People keeping multiple eyes glued on her (but then she’d look funny with all those eyes glued on her); something that would frustrate her beyond belief, like “Well, I just undid the deadbolt on the front door.”
Goldie, of the BPH cats, is clearly the one most familiar with the out-of-doors, so is the right one to be out there reporting on the looming Mole-ectomy.
Heck, I hope Lupin isn’t lip-reading this, since Goldie taught Iggy and Ora Zella how to hunt for him. Knowing Lupin, he’ll probably try to find the way out, and the kittens can just follow him.
Bit late posting this, but I won’t be able to do so tomorrow. I’m having carpal tunnel surgery on the right wrist tomorrow morning, so I may not be commenting as much for a day or two. I can hardly wait to have it done!

If every kitty knew what’s open
And found the secret way
Then every kitty’d be sleuthin’
To find the moles today
You’d seem ‘em helpin’ Queen Maggie
Avoidin’ windows too
A sneaky sneaky smol duo
Sleuthin’ Goldie’s way

But how will they go there if Goldie won’t show them the way?
