On the bright side, it’s fairly likely that something in the next 50 years will cause a massive drop in the human population, likely straightening people out. Most of us will be dead, but hey at least those still alive will be better at getting along! Silver linings!

For me the point is that I don’t know what the symbol is. It could be anything. Someone would want it changed or not changed and would be willing to fight over it.

Just because you are offended doesn’t necessarily mean you are right.Just because you are offended doesn’t mean you can take away someone else’s right to voice their opinion. Your opinion on the matter is just as valid to you as theirs is to them. Denying their right also denies your right to voice your opinion.

If you are offended, you have the ability and option to simply walk away from the situation. You also have the ability to peacefully voice your opinion to those around. However, trying to change the opinion of the one who offended you is just as effective on them as if they tried to change your opinion would be on you. In short, not likely to happen, so save your breath and time. Side note, neither one of you will likely change the opinion of anyone around you by the same token. You will gather people who already believe similarly. Having more people around who are like-minded does not make you right

It is not from Voltaire, the 18th-century philosopher, but it was a paraphrase from a biographer named Evelyn Beatrice Hall of what she thought Voltaire was thinking. Regardless, I believe more people should be reminded of that saying in a small hope that it will give them some thought on how they behave and just possibly help them in someway with the rest of their lives.

For good or ill, I put this out to the wolves of cancel culture and those that find offense in everything. I know full well I will be flooded with supporters and those that disagree with my post. To any that respond I say simply good luck and try to live the best life you can, you are only given one life so live it as you see fit.

I kind of hope , for the sake of the guy with the red hat, the grill was red hot!

It is my contention that the Internet (and chat rooms) have caused this and will be the downfall of civilization. They enable people who would never come in contact with one another to form a community (and amplify each others crazy beliefs).

It WOULD be funnier if not so….. accurate..

As long as broken people live on this broken world, this will be the state of humanity.
