Strangely, I’m in favor of stopping that criminal cult leader from becoming President “Any way you can.” But I’m also in favor of limiting “any way” to things that are legal. Trump DOES NOT meet all the criteria to become President, so it’s PERFECTLY LEGAL and proper to deny him the opportunity to run. Unless you think it’s better for him to get however many votes and THEN be disqualified, which I think is crazy. Or unless you think we should ignore the constitution, as he apparently does… which I think is worse than crazy.

Nobody lies about Trump other than himself and republicans. The truth needs to be put out there every minute of every day.

He “Does” LIE, STEAL, and Cheat! And “No” you don’t need to lie about him to tell all the horrible things he does. They’re all pretty well documented.

There should be an amendment to the Constitution that if a President serves one term and is not re-elected he is not eligible to run for another term later, having been rejected once.

I love how Rall points out this hypocrisy and it flies right over the leftists heads. I like cartoonists like him or Ramirez who will take pot shots at anybody.

But it isn’t. It’s all been done within established procedures, by people who were duly elected or appointed to their offices. In neither of the two cases (so far) was it a fiat order by a single individual.

And exactly what “lies” have Mr. Trump’s opponents been telling? I’ll admit I haven’t been following very closely, since it doesn’t matter how I vote (my state will vote roughly 60% for the republican candidate, as always), and because in any case I remember what 2017-2021 were like, so the election rhetoric doesn’t really matter.

Always remember, Colorado and Maine (so far) are following the Constitution regarding Trump.

I agree that Trump needs to be stopped… but turning him into a martyr by cutting him from a ballot won’t stop him… it will only anger and embolden the alt-right.

America is in a dangerous spot. Democracy has been declining over the last few decades, and is at risk of disappearing. Dealing with threats like Trump needs to be done strategically.

Democrats have no need to lie about tRump. tRump admitted he led the insurrection which is the basis used by the Colorado Supreme court to ban him from the ballot per our U.S. Constitutional Law. No tax dollars have been stolen by the D.A. who brought RICO charges against tRump, and tRump must be stopped because he is a clear and present danger to the U.S.

Mr. Rall, no one is lying about Mr. Trump. They do not need to, he provides plenty of ammunition. And the DA stealing money charge is a stretch that borders on libel.

I see this strip as a contradiction to Ted’s previous opinions. Then again, I read his graphic novel The Stringer, in which a the protagonist, a sociopathic narcissist nd war profiteer, ends up with lots of money and the princess. (I guess he was going for “true to life.”

This is pretty vacuous. It isn’t the Democratic Party that got him taken off the ballot; it’s a few states’ secretaries of state, after careful analysis. It has also undergone some degree of judicial review, though I expect there will be more. The 14th Amendment’s provisions are serious, and it needs to be taken seriously. Now, it might feel like a cheat, but it should be addressed as a matter of law, not feelings.

The claim about the RICO case being about stealing tax dollars, meanwhile, sounds absolutely bonkers. Is the intent of the comic to make it sound like the woman on the right is engaging in argument with a crazy person?
