The trick is to put him in a burlap bag and tie it shut. Release him just before his parents arrive. Or maybe collect your pay and let them release him — they might thank you for your great idea!
SPOILER ALERT: Is this the arc where Calvin gets on the extension to tell Charlie that his GF is “a notorious kid-hater” and he should never marry her?
I have just been having another look at the site called “All the Hobbes and Bacon strips I could find”. As I mentioned recently, the last three strips on that site seem to be the beginning of a babysitter arc. The last strip has Calvin and Susie’s daughter Bacon telling Hobbes, “I must become something stronger. I must become…” The last panel has her in a Batman or Batgirl costume. She continues, “… Night Girl.” In this same last panel, Hobbes comments, “I thought your Mom threw that costume out.” Bacon replies, “No trash can can keep Night Girl from her costume!” Hobbes answers her second speech balloon in that last panel with his own second speech balloon, “That explains the smell!”.
I love the contrast; the first two panels are in Calvin’s imagination, with Stupendous Man wearing a full costume, while the last two are in reality with Calvin only wearing the Stupendous Man cape and mask.
I’ve always liked the detail of the Stupendous Man costume just being the cape and cowl in real life, but in the imagination scenes, it’s a full-body suit.

Rosalyn, you are a babysitter you’re supposed to know that if it’s “too” quiet there is something going on that probably shouldn’t be!

Interesting that a character with no depiction gets a name but yet Calvin’s parents went the entirety of the comic without names for themselves
