I remember a test in college back 1971. Open book, allowed to group up on the answers. Only a few passed the testâŠ..the questions were such you had to use the knowledge from the book to create the correct answers.
âItâs not much different than finding the answer through Google, if you think about it,â would be my response. But Iâm also not a saucy cartoon child. lol
Was an ad exec for a mid-major newspaper, then taught for 25 years. No ad slogan or student answer ever came close to Danaeâs enhanced studying. Truly original and hilarious.
Took a psych course in university. It was a lecture class of about 400 of my closest friends. The tests were all bubble sheets and machine graded. However, the profs did something interesting. They grabbed the first person to finish and had them fill in an answer sheet with completely random answers which they then compared to the student test results. They reported after one test that a student had scored lower than random chance.
In one of my stints in college I was taking a math test. The instructor had stepped out of the room. The guy next to me asked me for the answer to a problem. I said no. I went back to work. He waited a bit and grabbed my paper off the desk. For some reason I didnât make a fuss and just took the paper back.
This gave me a flashback of an incident in high school English class in which a classmate kept whispering to me asking what the answer was for answers on the class assignment, and I kept whispering back for her to look it up herself. The teacher heard the whispering, but not what was said and said aloud that I wasnât helping her by just telling her the answers. I had to answer back aloud that I wasnât, I was telling her to look it up. At the very least, it got her to finally stop asking.

Danae is wrong, the point of the quiz is not to get a right answer, it is an evaluation of your knowledge â not your eyesight.

I thought the goal was to find out how much each student knows.

I remember in college when one student was caught copying the answer from his friend. Trouble was that his friendâs answer was completely off base.

The goal of any test is to show what you know, not necessarily to âget the answers rightâ.

If the purpose of the series is to depict the complete breakdown of societyâs norms, it is succeeding perfectly.

Itâs Danae who needs to move. To a desk at least six feet from any other studentâs desk and within six feet of the teacherâs desk.

All you small minded people donât understand Danae at all.
She asks uncomfortable questions, and the adults donât like being questioned. She looks at life at an odd angle and sees, what others never will.
Danae is not evil, bad or malevolent. She is just Danae.
