I think the Horizontal Output tube needs to be replaced. Either that, or the set is suffering from silver-mica disease.
(If you go on YouTube, look up the channel “shango066”. He’s out of Los Angeles and finds these old tube radios and TVs to resurrect. Not a full restore, but just to get them working, so someone else can do the full restore. Mind you, he can be hilarious, but also has opinions on certain social/political topics that don’t jibe with some people. So if your tolerance is pretty high, you’ll be fine.)
