So far this November in Western Washington we have had four “atmospheric rivers” (Editorial: To this 73 year native of the area, a typical rainy November) followed by a “bomb cyclone” on Nov. 19 (Another Editorial: "Bomb cyclone is the new more colorful and more frightening phrase now used to describe a storm that rapidly intensifies, which I believe to be a more accurate description). As a result of that storm I was without power for 90 hours and without internet for 140 hours. I also lost four big Western Hemlock trees, one of which took out the power lines on our road (although 3 of my neighbors were able to replenish their firewood supply from those). There were 170,000 households withourt power at the storm’s peak, and there are still a few that are not yet restored. At least all the fun happened before Thanksgiving.
Queen Catshepsut the Golden: My friends and courtiers, it gives me great pleasure to introduce our special guest of honor, Spike, who is visiting from the desert of Needles.
All: Hear! Hear!
Spike: Thank you, friends from Egypt. I bring greetings from my friends and family, especially my brother Snoopy. He will be flying in shortly.
Lupinium: I heard he had learned how to fly. I wonder if he could give me a few lessons.
Spike: It’s not as easy as all that. Still, I’m sure he can give you some tips on how to be chaotic.
Ora Z: Ooh! Can I learn too?
Spike: Of course.
Puckmosis: I think there will be some history to learn as well.
Elvis-Anum: And maybe scrolls to transcribe.
Beatrixia: I’ll look in the 900s to find history we may have.
Queen Cat: This is a most auspicious celebration. And here’s a toast to the human who made it all possible: Charles Schulz!
I was having a weird deja-vu moment here; on Sunday evening I had re-read this arc in “Good As Goldie”. I couldn’t figure out why it was repeating so soon, then the lightbulb clicked on!
This makes me think of the post Georgia made announcing Goldie’s addition in real life – specifically the picture of her sleeping calmly because she seemed grateful to be inside and safe. Oh, my heart!
After my golden Molly and I rescued Mr. Kitty from starvation, he never stopped being grateful or loving. He was also very attentive to anyone who paid attention to him until he figured out who the humans with the kibble were.
Check out Pooch Cafe on GC today. Tiny kitten Ora Zella has a potential soul mate. A Cross-over with her and Poncho would be a lethal, and yet hysterically funny/entertaining, event.

I was confused yesterday and saw that this is 2019 strip and now I get it. Hard to keep track of all the characters in all the strips, I read.

I enjoy Elvis getting the scoop in panel three, and I don’t think I had ever noticed his ears in panel two before.
