For the heck of it, check out BlueSky site. I went there 1st time today. A post I found interesting was…A record 83 school shootings so far this year and the government is ZZZzzz. A CEO gets shot and the government can’t stop buzzing about it
This is a place where cultural differences show them self.Personally I prefer saying things as they are and not being polite for the sake of being polite, which also leads me finding greetings like “Hello – how are you” to be really annoying if they come from a stranger that could care less about how I am.
I had lunch recently with some of my nerd buddies of over 40 years, and we follow each other’s recommendations. I don’t stream so I’m a bit limited with that. My recommendation was SUPERMAN AND LOIS which just had its series finale. Awesome show.
Rat isn’t quite accurate … My mother-in-law recommended a show to us, and we said we’d “check it out”. We were bored one night, and so we actually kept our word. And now we’re waiting (as patiently as we can) for the next season of “The Chosen” to stream.
I guess he’s talking about Suits. You know, the one with that lousy actress that married someone that was an UK royal. I think the guy might have been related to the King and William. I know that he has red hair.

TV watching should be a rare event, not a daily one. It will rot the brain.

“For All Mankind” on Apple TV is really good sci-fi. Highly recommend it. I am looking forward to season 5.

The Rockford Files re-runs? Anything with Cher in it? Pat Boone sings Ray Charles Christmas Special? Knock him out, Rat.

“Suits” was a pretty good show about a bunch of corporate lawyers, but it’s hardly new. And it featured the royal heinie of Meghan Markle.

Are the attorneys in a mode of transportation that has driven off the road and over a cliff? If so, the name of the show could be A Good Start….

If you never watch anything, I recommend the “Blood and Cake” episode of the second season of “The Tick”

Not only won’t check it out, won’t even remember what they were talking about 1.3 seconds later…

I’m pretty sure that I must have occasionally checked something out after saying that.
Got rid of Netflix, though, to save money at the start of the COVID panic, and haven’t missed it. Was thinking of getting rid of it anyway.

Sorry, Rat. I doubt many would be interested in my favorite shows.

a slightly better statement is “I should check that out” which implies interest but not compliance

We first level managers did-so at the water cooler … then I was promoted and could no longer fraternize with those peons.

He’s not talking about his stupid shows because he knows you’re not interested, Rat. You might have done well to follow his lead.

Does it end with the greedy billionaire healthcare denying CEO getting shot dead on the street by a brave young fellow. I’ll definitely watch that one

First question: is it funny? Second question: is it the same as every other show about corporate lawyers?
