I agree with 5 on the right and 3 on the left, but I couldn’t bring myself to vote for either radical, so I skipped the election for the first time in my 80 years. I agree with several of Trump’s ideas and I hope he follows through, but I absolutely dislike the man.
All seems to be lost in the middle but sometimes found in the laundry detergent aisle.
Most dog owners I have seen treat their dog better than they treat their elderly parents. They won’t take meals to their parents, they won’t take their parents for a walk, they won’t talk to their parents on a regular basis, they will apologize to their dog sooner than they’d apologize to their parents for being ‘dog-gone’ too long, etc.
I would do anything for my dog. She would do anything she could for me, too, including sleeping through the night and not barking. I nursed her through pancreatitis and keep her diet appropriate for kidney failure. I take her to the hospital once or twice a week so she can do dog therapy. She loves her job and I am not going to tell her she is too old. (14) She’s the only beagle therapy dog there, and well loved. We are going to leave for the hospital as soon as I finish my comics. They have people cookies today for volunteers! There will be kidney-safe doggy cookies in my pockets.
Unfortunately the dog category is divided between Designer Mixes and Pure Breds usually able to fit in a purse (blue) and Mutts, Hound Dawgs and Hunting Dogs (red).
I like pizza – quinoa is, along with kale, NOT edible by humans – I voted for Harris as I REALLY cannot support a mental enfant for even dog- catcher- I would NEVER own a “pick-up” though I’m glad my friends have them when I need to move stuff – baseball caps just look stupid anywhere other than on the playing field, “T” shirts are useful as underwear ONLY; definitely “pro-life” while being stanchly pro- choice – and treat my wife’s dogs like members of the family because that’s what they are…
Amen! Focus on what we have in common, even if it is outweighed by our differences. Focus on something you like about someone with whom you disagree. Be bigger than your differences. Be more human than just your opinion. Ok, I’ll get off my soapbox now. For now.
Like pizza, pro-choice, drive a pick-up, listen to all kinds of music, wear glasses and a hat (usually a Panama hat, though other hats depending on weather), wear a shirt, voted for Harris, live in a very Trumpian county.
we have German Shepherds which during the 2nd world war were call Alsatian Wolf Dogs because some people didn’t want anything German. I’m a conservative and yes we do have a pick up truck but we had hybrid cars and an EV for a few years. Cool little cars but not the magic answer to climate change. My double coated dogs don’t like hot weather.
I really only fit in the middle of this comic – the loving dogs part. I don’t fit in the red or the blue sections – they are too specific. Too polarizing. All should not be “us” and “them.”

I must be purple; some red and some blue. Definitely where they overlap.

I crisscross so many of those. For example, I prefer pizza, don’t like either of the mentioned types of music, mostly wear baseball cap and t-shirt.

THIS is why we (USA) need either a 3rd party – or no parties. Let the dogs decide.

You know, you can like ALL of those things on the Red side and still have voted for Harris. Most are all just perceived stereotypes.
And one of the biggest differences was omitted.
BLUE: Pro-Rule of Law
RED: Pro-It’s OK if our boy does it.
And yeah, go ahead and throw Hunter’s pardon in my face. I think they should have let the boy take his lumps.

Also, not all is lost. Almost the same thing, but not quite. I wonder if one is blue and the other red!

I’m in the third bubble. “Not from the US”, but still part of the intersecting set.
