I guess April is going to be eating art for lunch this week.

And there will be an abstract masterpiece on that kid’s butt when Elly gets hold of her! That is, if there isn’t one there already from that PLOP t the floor.

That’s called modern art.

Not art. Just a mess. And just a note. It’s generally advisable to limit the intake of processed meats by toddlers. High levels of salt and so on can cause upset tummies…

It’s a waste of food

Sorry, I absolutely DETEST bologna. And sadly, Braunschweiger, too. The latter was…okay, until I had one too many sandwiches with it in a row. Salami, on the other hand, I’ll take that any day!

How else are John & Elly going to remember that April even exists?

Seal it in Urethane and frame it. If a banana taped to the wall can sell for $K’s this should go for a million or more.

When I was going to grade school, bologna was the only lunch meat my mother would buy. Ugh.

The next Charcuterie board could be interesting. Match like-nibbled pieces of bread or Swiss cheese with large holes.

I had a lot of that stuff growing up. That and KD ( every Canadian knows what KD is). It was cheap and fed all us nine children.

Isn’t it obvious? April saw holes in Swiss cheese and thought the Baloney should have holes, too!

My mother would have killed me.

It’s a very fine line between ‘art’ and ‘baloney’.

What about “Mustard Art” ? That’s when you draw on the mystery meat with a squirt bottle.

And a waste of good baloney!

Yep, April is full of baloney.

Well if a banana duct tapped to a wall by the artist Maurizio Cattelan sold for 120 grand, then I imagine April Patterson’s snowflakes carved out of baloney can sell for 200 grand! And that’s no baloney. Any takers?

Kids are icky.

I love the 3rd panel. It’s a parody of a cliche used in tv and films. When it appears, I just imagine a tiny cameraman sitting at the back of a fridge!

It’s incredibly wasteful, is what it is.

Oh my god I used to do that. I don’t think this is where I got it, because I was the same age as April, and I wouldn’t have been reading comics yet? But I bet my parents read it.

Good thing they live in Canada, where food is a human right.

Conversely, a lot of what is pedaled as art these days is baloney.
