Like Miss Plainwell, Frazz?

Why would Frazz do that right in front of Caulfield?

In the Spring of 1960. I had never heard of a skateboard. But, I found an old skate and put the wheels on each end of a board that came from the arm of a sofa.

My older brother learned how to things by watching first.

… and hoping that no one was recording this.

That’s a hard fall, even his watch came off lol

To learn how to ride a unicycle, he should take a class at a university.

Took me a year and a half to learn, with on and off practice, when I was 11. At 17, I bought a 6 footer chain drive, a giraffe, and rode it all around. Today I’m 68 and can still ride. It’s like riding a bike; you never forget.

I came across an interesting scientific paper that postulated that an event changed the moment it is observed.

He sure likes his assumptions, valid or not (mostly not).

Swerving my bicycle to pass a couple pedestrians on a forest path, the 10 lbs. of groceries in my backpath shifted and I found myself lying on my back in the leaves. The lady’s question of, “Can we help?” was answered with “Yes. Please forget you ever saw this.”

I think this is the first time I have seen Frazz in a “fail moment.”

I never wore a helmet riding a bike as a kid, but if I ever have the uncontrollable urge to learn how to ride a unicycle, I would. I’m shocked Frazz chose to wear a hat instead of a helmet when riding his uni in today’s strip. Actually, now that I think of it, I don’t recall many times that Frazz has ever worn a hat…but maybe my memory doesn’t remember such things well.

Frazz & his Phone and Watch, and Unicycle and Shoe all took a spill? YOW! But my favorite part?? THE SQUIRREL. Jef does some great Squirrels, Birds, Cats and Sneks. :-) (among other great characters)

And that’s why Frazz is a jogger.

Life is like being that guy on the opening of “Wide World of Sports” who wiped out on the skis every week while the announcer intoned “…the Agony of Defeat.”

Hard to ‘Tuck and Roll’ from a Unicycle.

I used to live in a beach community here in San Diego. On the weekends me and the neighbors would sit out on the front lawn with a beer and watch the world do by. The sidewalk in front of my place an offset section, all the local skateboarders knew about it and compensated for it. One day a newbie came by and did a full face-plant. We all stood up and gave him a standing ovation.

You mean hoping no one was filming.

“I meant to do that!”

I wonder how the squirrel is involved in all of this. (Ralph? Is that you? (see Reality Check))

Never understood the appeal of a unicycle. Does it work the core? Certainly not a good means of transportation.

We had people in my hometown who rode unicycles. A completely different technique than used for a two-wheeler (which is much easier). You especially had to be careful of odds and ends on the path you were following.

That’s not what I would be thinking in the midst of a painful face-plant!

Unless you’re a circus clown – why would ANYONE want to ride a unicycle?

If it’s bad enough, you hope there WAS someone watching! Who can do First Aid, or call 911.

I’d think the moment was about antibiotic cream and advil.

Two wheels is the least amount of wheels I want if I’m riding it. Stunts and skateboards usually involve the family jewels for guys.

We used to make unicycles out of old bicycle and tricycle parts. I got rather competent on them, and I only had one catastrophic spill. This was before bicycle helmets were a thing.
