HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!

Once again already saw this one earlier in the week at my newspaper warehouse job.

Nice Father’s Day Shannon’s having.

I remember hearing that when I was a child like Shannon. California summers in the country depending on the well, I can still hear the sound of the empty waterline followed by, “We used up all the water.”

Shannon wears a floaty in a wading pool? Why isn’t she working on the next epic Monstro and Puddles story?

And on the topic of unpleasant water surprises, note Shannon about to fill her drinking glass with water from the garden hose. Once, when we were small children, my brother turned on the faucet that fed the garden hose with the intention of drinking directly from the outflow end. As he lifted the hose and moved to put it in his mouth, three large live slugs were flushed out by the outgoing water. Never drank directly from a hose again.

Even worse? Infectious parasitic worms have also been known to cool off in the dark, moist insides of garden hoses.

It’s called “water rationing,” and you’d better get Used to it, Kiddo. ;-)

For a second I thought they were on a well and oh oh! Happened to me in January and to my friend this week!

PSA- turn off your water whenever you leave for an extended period of time, like a vacation.

I installed water shut-offs under every sink in my house. I never have to close the main the ones under the sink leak. I don’t need no man. lol

Oh no! the world is DOOOOOOOMED!

So, never mind that Shannon isn’t with her FATHER on Father’s Day, but they let her play in the pool unsupervised?

Currently living this in Calgary, Alberta! Massive feeder main broke last week. Won’t be fixed for 3-5 weeks

Excellent team work coordinated by Toni. I think that, when the time comes, she’ll be the next captain of the city fire department. How cute Shannon is with the swimming goggles and the inflatable duck-like life jacket! A classic, but always fun.

Some day in Shannon’s lifetime, in Cape Town and Las Vegas, it’ll probably be true.

And why is she filling a cup from the hose when the pool is full?

A monkey wrench is overkill to remove a faucet, better use vice grips.

Oh ha ha ha ha ha that is so side-splitting funny…

Yep, you used up all the water Shannon.

The Evanses missed a great opportunity. Brad takes Shannon to the store where she buys an expensive card for her dad. Then, as an afterthought she makes a card for Brad (as her surrogate father) Last panel shows a smiling Brad putting Shannon’s card on the refrigerator.
