Maybe next year they should just all convert to Judaism, observe Hanukkah, and just give out bags of chocolate gelt instead. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

Is Frank wearing an apron? I looks like he’s got an apron over his shirt. And Luann put on that carpy T-shirt. That’s three down and one to go, must be for Toni. Considering Brad’s choices so far I’d say her shirt will say “She’s my MILF” But considering there has to be some payoff for two weeks of carpy T-shirt jokes, I’ll guess (like everyone has) that Toni’s shirt is “Baby on Board.”

Meaning Shannon will have a run for her money as brattiest brat in the strip. Christmas, Bah, humbug!

Eventually, the conversation turns to the impact their literature had on the world.

Herman Melville starts boasting. He says, “I wrote 15 books, and my book “Moby Dick” is still studied in schools and famous to this day”.

William Shakespeare interjects: “That’s nothing! Why, I wrote 192 works in total, and most of my plays are still studied in schools across the world. “

The two of them look pityingly at Greg Evans, but to their surprise he has a big smile on his face.

“That’s nothing guys! I wrote about a Moby Dick mail joke slogan on a t-shirt given for a Christmas gift by a son who was a fireman for his father of unknown profession, and there was a whole comments section that studied it for hours and never figured it out why it was funny!”

What is with all of the dumb message shirts? Terrible present choice.

TJ gave Brad a T shirt that called him a doofus, and Brad didn’t look especially pleased; but now he’s living up to that name.

So neither Brad nor Luann is good at gift-giving. A couple of years ago, Frank gave Luann cleaning supplies- it’s obviously a genetic trait.

They would’ve been better off giving them plain tee shirts with nothing on them. The only good these stupid ones are for would be to use them to paint or do other dirty work. I’d never wear them in public.

That shirt would go right in the fireplace.

“Baby on Board” is too generic for Toni. Brad needs more spotlight, like " I’m carrying Brad’s Baby."

In my teens my parents gave me a monogrammed travel kit with a Fuller Brush hair brush. 60 years later I still use that hair brush. I just don’t have as much hair to brush.

This is me trying to figure out the comic page sometimes. You sort of get the joke, but you can’t figure out why they thought it was funny.

Toni’s tee shirt is cut short enough to show under ( º )( º ) and says “I ❤️ Count Olaf”. Hubba Hubba, lowly unworthies and.Eat Your ❤️s Out, boy howdy.

I want a shirt that reads “Resealable For Freshness.” I saw it on a bag of chicken strips.

Or just one that reads “Chicken Strips.”

Why can’t they just laugh and enjoy the moment and Brad’s effort? None of them need gifts anyway.

When did Brad slip back into clueless teenage doofus mode? He was a great grownup for a long time.

Ish is the Hebrew word for man. Ish-mail means Mail-Man. Yes, you can have a bilingual pun. Finnegan’s Wake is full of them. Or so I’m told. I must get around to James Joyce at some point.

Gotta say, this is my favorite storyline of probably ever. Brad is truly sub-moronic.

Ok, Tony and Luanne sitting next to each other in the last panel… they look like characters out of two completely separate comic strips.

So far Brad has only been successful with the shirt for Luann. Let’s hope the Toni one is so great that it redeems him from his previous mistakes.

Luann’s quite the hypocrite in criticizing Brad, considering her actions on 12/20/2020. I guess the whole family just sucks at gift-giving.

I 100% guarantee you that we will never see any of the family members ever wearing these shirts after this arc.

It is hard work coming up with story lines year after year, but this t-shirt bit does not have a good feeling about. It is disrespectful to Brad’s character and just not funny. To drag it out for two weeks just makes it worse. There should have been one week of struggling with sayings for each character, then this week each character gets a shirt with a beautiful and uplifting saying.

Luann’s shirt is appropriate

Buying Christmas gifts is a trial. An opportunity to prove how little you know them and a challenge to the imagination. Still, my GF’s go to is gift certificates and lottery tickets

Wow. Brad is trying really hard to validate that gift and none of what he’s saying makes any sense at all. Where on earth did GnK get these bone-headed gift ideas? They must be sharing their substance induced fantasy world with the readers because no one would ever wear one of these shirts. It almost seems like the “free” shirts deal was bs, so Brad got stuck with customer cast offs and now he’s trying to explain them. It will all end tomorrow, maybe with a nice surprise?

I guess tomorrow we find out what he finally chose for Toni’s t-shirt? My hubby is a little like Brad: a bit clueless about gift-giving, but in all other ways, a pretty terrific guy.

Tomorrow must be Toni’s shirt. I think it will be the worst of all. Hope this ends soon.
