“The monks distributed the wealth to the citizens of Dook”.HaHaHa! Very funny, they really kept it for themselves & lived a rich life after that, while the citizens froze & starved all year!

Is this one of those time paradox stories? Whenever they try to avoid death, death comes back another way?

“The monks distributed the wealth to the citizens of Dook”. Now we know it is all a dream, the church has unimaginable wealth but when Notre Dame burnt they went cap in hand to the rest of the world.

But then Nebbish sneezed, lost concentration, and turned the asteroid into a bowl of petunias that for some odd reason kept saying, “Oh no, not again, again!”

Excellent story Wiley. I see Genji and the Silent One as metaphors for the free Press.

A free, robust and investigative Press have awesome power like the Silent One, and can be an agent for good or evil.

When the Press ceases to be a check on power, but instead becomes a propagandist and enabler of a leader that is completely unqualified, we all suffer.

The monks used the money to move to San Diego and become a baseball team. Meanwhile, Nebbish and Genji need to hit one out of the park.

Wiley, you have a drawing ability that’s much higher than you let on, I strongly suspect.

(Not that there’s anything in the least bit wrong with what you do for us daily.)

How about maybe, just once, you strut the high end stuff for us fans? Be nice to see what you can do when you really put on the dog!

Some times ‘happily ever after’ means you get a job and work at something you feel the need to do. Sort of a reason for getting out of bed in the morning.

And the gazillionair king, opened the gates to “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,” Then he opened his hotels as housing for those in need and made his great wealth available to build schools and factories to help the newcomers.

And shut down his Twitter account

Aw, great story! Before the Bearaissance flap, I was cutting all the Nebbish strips out of my Sunday paper to put on the fridge. After my paper canceled “Non Sequitur” I went to this format. Lacking a printer, I can’t put the strips on my fridge…but at least I got to finish the story. Maybe he’ll collect it all in its own little book!
