My kids are grown, but they do generally reply to texts. Might take most of the day, they eventually do reply. Younger kids shouldn’t have a phone in general. Most child-development experts and educators suggest 14 at the earliest, 16 optimally.
I know the feeling. When our son was living at home, he would respond to his friends’ texts within seconds. Now that he has his own family, we can go for days on a two-word reply sent a week late.
