The void is way too cold for one lonesome cat. I feel sorry for her.

Okay, you all know something but you’re not telling. I gather a new female cat is about to be introduced from the void?

I love end-of-the-world marshmallow cocoa jamborees with piles of fuzzy blankets and cats! Just arrange to have everything necessary for the next few days within easy reach and you’re set. (If it weren’t for those pesky bathroom breaks!)

Oh oh oh! It’s …..! (shuts mouth!) Elvis, turn around and look; you’ll get a pleasant surprise! On a different note, GUNG HEE FAT CHOY (Happy Chinese New Year) to everyone! It is now the Year of the Pig (although I personally feel every year should be the Year of the Cat!)

Cocoa and marshmallows are a better way for the world to end than fire, ice, a bang, or a whimper.

Long ago, we had a mother cat who had just delivered in our yard during winter. We moved them inside. Unfortunately, one of her babies didn’t make it, but the rest found a furever home.

You know, it always seems to be Elvis who is the one who needs to turn around and take note of the things that have popped up behind him. This never seems to be a problem for Puck or Lupin.

I love coping with cocoa. Homemade, from a package, it doesn’t matter, as long as there are plenty of marshmallows. I also love coping with chocolate… or cake… or rum… really, I’m very easy to please!

So happy this arc is finally happening! Every time Elvis would report from in front of a window in winter, I would hold my breath.

I would really hate to have to name my favorite BCN strip, but this one would right at the top. Of course so would ALL of the others.

Yay! I was just thinking this past weekend that it must be time for Beatrix to appear, and there she is!

We found our cat McKayla on a rainy November night 18 years ago. She was under my Father’s car and shivering. She road to my home, curled up on my shoulder. I have been her person ever since.

I love the two little ears popping up in the second panel. I didn’t notice them at first. Then the big sad eyes hoping that someone would see her and take care of her. Whoever is peeling onions will PLEASE go do it somewhere else. You are fogging up my screen.

You know, this whole commentary is a tribute to Georgia’s storytelling and her ability to create characters we all care about. Even in “re-runs”, we enjoy seeing once again that Elvis finds his way home, then helps Tommy, that Puck gets Buzzy back, and that [spoiler] comes to the Big Pink House to [spoiler] and steal our hearts. And, as I mentioned after Elvis’s Christmas story, we all want to explain to the newer readers that all will be well.

I am back into the Orb and back at work, thank Bast, from what seemed like a never-ending attack of [what I think is rheumatoid] arthritis. Better now. I have spent the last five days in severe pain while clearing out a storage unit by myself. (I had to drive a lot, so couldn’t use MMJ. Don’t know if it would even have done much good.) Between the Feb. 4 deadline (so I wouldn’t get charged another month), a family emergency, and the stupid pain I couldn’t work or do anything else. I’ve got another one to go but I may have help with it. I think this was caused by the weather (cold, heavy rain, not snow). I’ve rarely been in so much pain in my life. I do not recommend it. I am just thankful to be able to sit up and get back to work and not do anything physical. I haven’t read the Orb thoroughly yet but I see that some people have had surgery and are looking at cancer and other diagnoses, you know I will be purring for you. May Bast prosper you.
