I used to go thru a local mall to get home from work, a shortcut. This time of year, I would avoid doing that as it was packed. Now it is deserted and sad. I don’t see what a luxury parking lot is going to do to line Mr. T’s pockets.

And of course Snowball Taggart is dressed as Santa. Must be more of that “synergy” he talks about!

Puckmosis: Did Snowfall Braggart find Barbara’s Shop alright?

Bea: Yes. I heard he’s giving her and her staff a difficult time.

Puck: It’s not nice to mess with Barbara.

Sometime Later

Puck: So how did Snowfall like his fur dressing?

Barbara: I finally got him to see reason. I explained his fur would be perfect for the Pink Lupinium treatment.

Puck: And what happened then?

Barbara: He was most appreciative of our other suggestions.

Oh yeah, of course, he definitely wouldn’t have thought to get a permit for any of this. Should’ve thought of that and called it out ages ago. :P

Wow, that pigeon is FAST! (And also TALL.) Or maybe Princess and family were close by.

Also, I need a Bandit vs. Dr. Mittens throwdown, rap battle style.

And is a Blazing Saddles twist, this Pawmark/Lifetime channel story takes an unexpected twist when Father laughingly says,

“Permit? PERMIT! We don’t need no Stinking Permit!”

In the next panel Kit and the Black Tabby named Bart formulate a plan, (Cut me some slack her folks this is a parody of Blazing Saddles after all) where all of the orphans will reach out to the moles for help, even though the orphans, who all happened to be named Johnson for some strange reason, Well it’s not really all that strange, but it is a family show after all and well we all know what Johnson really means, to help them build a tree farm and orphanage by morning.

Bart: "Now, before the sun comes up… we’re going to build on this site an exact replica of the town of Rock Ridge.

Every building, every store front, every rock and every tree… right down to the orange roof on Howard Johnson’s outhouse."

Idiot Orphan: "I get it! And tomorrow when Father and his work cats come rolling in… to destroy the real orphanage and Christmas tree farm…

….They’ll actually be destroying the fake orphanage and Christmas tree farm! But they’ll think it’s the real orphanage and Christmas tree farm! But we’ll know it’s the fake orphanage and Christmas tree farm!"

Angora: “How’re we going to do it? We don’t have the time and we ain’t got the critters.?”

Kit: “Wrong! There’s why.”

All the orphans: “Who the hell are they?” (Yes they do say hell on the Pawmark/lIfetime channel but only after 9 p.m.)

Kit: “Tunnel building moles. They’ve agreed to help us make our dream come true.”

Bart: " And all they ask in return is a little plot of land… they can call their own to homestead."

Will the plan work?

Will the fight scene be as funny as the movie?

Will Otis the orphan be drunk enough to knock out the bad guys with his breath?

Here’s a gift for the Orb: a really simple cookie recipe for those who need to do some last-minute baking:

SUGAR COOKIES – NO EGGS

Oven: Preheat to 350

(This recipe makes about 15 cookies; if you want more, just multiply everything by 2; if you need a LOT, multiply by 4):

¼ lb. butter (1 stick, at room temperature)

½ cup sugar (brown or white)

¾ cup flour (gluten-free flour works pretty well)

¼ tsp. baking soda

¼ tsp. salt

½ tsp. vanilla (almond or lemon extract would also work well)

Cream together butter and sugar.

Sift dry ingredients together and mix into creamed mixture, then add the vanilla.

Roll into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Press slightly with a fork dipped in sugar.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 12 minutes until lightly browned.

Allow to cool on the cookie sheet for 3 to 4 minutes, then transfer to a rack to finish cooling.

PS – if you try this with an artificial sweetener, please let me know how it turns out.

Also, adding a bit of cinnamon or other sweet spice might allow you to cut down on the sugar even more.
