Calvin does have a point; it seems the brats are more entertaining than the good kids (like Red).

Calvin made a good point. Today, though, the doofusses seem to be concentrated in one ethnicity.

In the genres of comedy live action and animation, coward, ugly and foolish characters are mostly male. In contrast, female characters are often portrayed as attractive, intelligent, and courageous.

If female characters were portrayed as stupid and cowards, feminists would say these films, TV shows, comics are misogynist and sexist but since these characters are male they donā€™t care.

For example the popular cartoon TV show Kim Possible, Kim, the girl is portrayed as beautiful, smart, and strong, while her friend, Ron the boy is portrayed cowardly, clumsy and unattractive and in some episodes she hits Ron like stepping on his foot deliberately.

Most women in TV shows including comedy TV shows and animation are attractive, smart, brave, tall, with long hair and skinny.

There are good role models in the comics ā€“ Superman always fights for whatā€™s right, as do Batman, Popeye, and many others, Mickey Mouse is always friendly and has a positive outlook, and, in spite of everything, Charlie Brown usually handles things pretty well.

Things sure have changed since the TV shows of my childhood and teen years. Then there were good parental role models, now, not so much. Kids were obedient and respected their parents and teachers. I wish the kids of today could see some of those shows.

This has affected our culture and society. We are fed new ideas and assume thatā€™s the new normal. And we accept it and adapt to it. They have reprogrammed us away from basic morals and virtues, not to say we were perfect b4, but at least we had a stronger concept of right and wrong. We knew what to resist. New we are too concerned with complying.Ha! Weā€™re the Borg! ā€œYou will comply!ā€
