“17” can be like in most places, number they call for you to pick up ( like in In-n-out ) but is most probable like in Hardee’s in the east and Carl’s jr in the west, where those choosing to eat in will get a placard or sculpture with a number, and when food is ready, one of the employees would bring it to you

Jock Guy is not a fleshed-out character. He’s a head-on-a-stick. This goes nowhere.

This is, yet again, a story arc and conversation that would be more nearly appropriate if the characters were still 13 years old, rather than young adults who have completed at least one year of college. With Bernice’s elaborate scheming to get to sit next to Piro on a couch for an hour, and Luann’s not being interested in Jock but being interested only in the fact that he’s interested in her, wouldn’t this scenario work better if these two characters weren’t sharing a meal in a cafe but were passing notes to each other in study hall?

Are we ever going to see Delta again? Doesn’t she come home for breaks?

So I guess we should start speculating on which characters will want to perform at the Fuse Follies Talent Show. Luann, obviously. Tiffany. Maybe Quill? Who else?

Bernice is just annoying these days…

When is Aaron Hill going to show up again?

“The First Annual” should have been left off of the poster. There might not be another one. It doesn’t become an annual event until the second one is held. That rule is taught early in journalism.

And, of course, since we are in a permanent time loop, next year they can hold the “First Annual” contest all over again. It’s sophomore year forever in Pitts!

6A mid-week “stall” of sorts… no major story progression…. just a reiteration mostly of what has been happening. But, that is “ok” as it seems to be the pattern that has been established. That said, the Fuse’s “Talent Show” poster is intriguing and thought provoking. Here are some of my views on the “Talent Show” if it becomes an aspect of the story:1. My biggest hope is that whomever the participants are, I hope that there will be a lot of humor involved. Hopefully little-to-no drama.2. My biggest worry is that the “Talent Show” could be a story arc that returns Quill to the forefront again. For me, it has been very pleasant and refreshing having him be nearly out of the picture. I would hate for that to change. :)3. If the “Talent Show” is a big hit and a bit money maker for The Fuse…. it could also buttress into an arc where we see Leslie take his “oogling” of the cash register into an actual case of theft. I am sort of on-the-fence about such a story arc, although generally I prefer more humor rather than drama.4. My second biggest worry is that if Quill is part of the “Talent Show” and this also happens to be when/if Luann decides to grant Jock a “date” of sorts…. to attend the “Talent Show” with her…. if Quill sees Luann with Jock…. it could lead to a “Harlequin Romance” type story arc where either a) Quill trys to win Luann back, or b) Luann suddenly discovers she has feelings for both fellows and is “torn” about how to proceed. I sure HOPE this does not happen in either a) or b). I guess the last thing I wanted to comment about was concerning Bernice. A lot of folks thus far seen to think that Bernice is being “snarky” and “mean” to Luann today. For me, today’s Bernice doesn’t really seem snarky…. to me, she seems to try to be grounding Luann and trying to focus Luann concerning Jock. For me, today, Bernice seems to be doing a good job and is being a good friend.

Pru will probably be involved in the Talent Show. She was working at the Fuse last time we saw her.

Bern is trying to make Lue either accept going with Jocko even if he is not actually Lue’s type or stop talking about him (possibly she hates being reminded how things did not work out with Piro ), she is complicating something that is not complicated “Lue enjoyed seeing that a guy seemingly was interested in her”

The coffee shop seems to be dong very well, and is a place where people go in Mooneyville to get their coffee. A Luannverse independent Starbucks attached to a theater venue. I still don’t know where the thing about Luann and Jocko will go, although I love the interplay between her sarcastic BFF, and Ms, Romantic all over the place Luann, but do expect some of the characters we have not seen for awhile to show up soon. All of this should tie-in eventually.

Don’t forget there’s an actual “Kafe” part (restaurant/bistro) to “Kafe Kablooie”, and not just the coffeehouse….

@Sukie. For us quasi-Paleos, beans, and all legumes, are Satanic food. However I do drink a great deal of coffee. Luckily, I am a fast caffeine metabolizer, genetically speaking.

Mordock, since i do not think that coffee you swim in/bathe in/use as sauna mist, and drink made you faint there must be a different reason. I honestly was ready for you to use a different word but shorter which ends with t and begins with f because of the beans part of the duscussion… Was your faint because Pipe and i were talking about how black coffee and legumes both can be helpful for glucose regulation?

I have a theory that when the action and drama are missing in Luann, there is more squabbling among the commentariat. Agree or disagree?

I was just listening to the Joe Jackson classic rock song, “Is she really going out with him?” It got me to think that perhaps Luann will take Puddles to the dog park for no particular reason, meet Jocko there, be charmed and agree to go out with him. On their date, they run into Quill who suddenly has an “Is she really going out with him” moment and her decides to pursue Luann who…Nah!!!, can’t be. -:)

Oops..I inadvertently clicked on “today” on the calendar calculator for that last post..February 1, 2022 is when Eiffel should be back, if she stays away for the same number of days (3,308) as she did for her first hiatus.

Thanks, NG, we are both fortunate enough to be fine on that regard, but i do follow pacreatic research to some extent due to insulinoma (and to a lesser extent lymphoma in the pancreas ferrets and carcinoma there) being not unusual in ferrets, so i am interested in things like the mode and location of the generation of beta cells, genetic predilections, and possible endocrinological contributors such as high LH levels.
