Cut glass doorknob! Haven’t seen one of those since the 1950s.

I notice, along with Elvis, Buzzy Mouse has been designated to watch over a tiny kitten with many toes.

Please note that someone has turned the kitty bed toward the radiator.

I identify with Elvis in this strip, and I like Buzzy Mouse snuggling with the kitten.

This plan is perfect. Puck stands guard at the door with Lupin, while Elvis goes into Dad Cat mode and keeps an eye on the kitten. There are no better protectors!

Elvis is a really good cat-sitter for her.

Yesterday a number of people checked in with their location and TXD2 mentioned compiling a list of where people are from. I thought I would add a survey question for any one who didn’t post their location yesterday (or even those who did). I did post yesterday, but since I am starting this survey I will answer it too. I am from West Micigan.

I have a top of the line monitor on my laptop (and I’m a 50 something year old man). I shouldn’t have to put up with blurry screens!

The boys are in full protection mode, and Puck even gave his beloved Buzzy Mouse to the kitten for comfort. Doesn’t get better than this, she’s in good hands!

Come to think of it, is there a separate group of cats that puts out a cat sized newspaper? And what is it called? The Wall Street Purrnal? The Washington Scratching Post?

Love today’s arc. So sweet of Elvis to stay up and be Father Cat. And Beatrix has Buzzy Mouse. Looks as though perhaps Elvis has a cup of tea in the lovely Old Country Roses pattern – my fave! Would love to see Elvis sometime in a three piece with a lovely watch, single/double albert and watchfob!

Elvis reminds me of Atticus sitting up with Jem at the end of To Kill a Mockingbird.

And the kitten is SAFE! Let the adventures begin … after her nap.

When I think of BCN it’s that image that comes up. Everything that is the heart of this universe is in that one.

I see Buzzy.

Happy Caturday! Dear Elvis shed his grumpy facade to watch over the kitten, and Puck lent his beloved Buzzy Mouse to comfort her in her sleep. I wonder if she is sleeping in Lupin’s bed.

Upper Illinois, as opposed to lower Illinois…there is a difference to we who live here. Can’t see how an amorphous mention of your state or country or province is gonna do anything but be a name on a list for Georgia to know where her readers hail from.

We were over in England from 72 thru 76 ( We live in East Anglia on the North Sea about 2 hrs north of London). Then NJ. After my husband got out we settled in NE Illinois. Moved down here to NC in 2000.

Forgot to post it yesterday, but two members of my colony have found a forever home together! Kismet and Stormi, Dee’s sisters, were taken in by a very sweet family. They’re even keeping the girl’s names to avoid too many changes for them.

My mother’s mother, the last of the Stern Victorians, took my mother, brother and myself to a lovely beach place boarding house a couple of times so they could visit. I was very little, and nervous being upstairs by myself. One night, the adults were downstairs chatting and relaxing but I couldn’t sleep. so my very stern Grandmother came in, laid down on my mother’s bed and said she would stay with me until I was asleep. It made a WORLD of difference. Who’s a good boy, Elvis?

Good news update. TXD2 was correct on my pet sitters cat, Fidgett, problem. He coughed up a big hairball today after they came back from getting an ultrasound that showed nothing. She was never so happy to clean up a hairball. She is a good cat mom. Just a little bit poorer.Thank you for all the purrs and hood thoughts.And 2 vets found nothing, just shows how much we have to watch them all the time.

Elvis is the best baby sitter ever. He has his glasses, cup of tea, the newspaper, the baby kitten is napping in front of the heater with buzzy mouse, what could be better? The artwork is amazing as usual.

Don’t get between Elvis and his girls. That is one duty he does take seriously. Thanks Elvis you are the best cat for the job.
