The cats disagree.

So I take it Leslie is more of a … oh, I don’t know … snake guy?

Cats are drawn to the human who hates them the most.

So Les is not a cat person.

I’ve missed a lot of the discussion here lately, so I suppose others have pointed out how Gray Cat is a metaphor for Les—prickly, hurtful orphan who doesn’t know how to ask for affection the right way.

Looks like Les will end up as a crazy cat woman.

Cats and dogs have good instincts about people and these kittens say you’re allright. And Moe sure purrs a lot for a grumpy looking cat. Guess despite looking grumpy, he’s a happy cat.

Hilarity ensues!! I laughed out loud seeing the cats all over grumpy Les.

Kitties seem to be attracted to people who are ignoring them. If you go “HERE KITTY KITTY” they don’t come.

Am I waiting in vain for Les to crack just the tiniest smile in acceptance of all these kitties?

My Grama would come over and really wasn’t fond of my cat. Muffin sure liked her though. Just like Les here with all the kittens lovin’ up on him… LOL

Well, if having a Gulag full of cats makes Leslie, uncomfortable, unlhappy, and IMMOBILE, then Gunther should DEFINITELY become a “Cat Guy!” ;)

He seems to be a cat-magnet. Even Moe is looking at him in the last panel.

There are at least four cats, though, who are “Les guys”.

Les gets fed up, joins the army, does a tour in Afghanistan, and the strip gets extremely interesting at that point.

Awwww. Les is for cats what Jack is for dogs. But Less (at least for now) don’t like being it. I think the warmth of those kittens can melt the ice in his heart♡.

September 20th is a sad anniversary for me, personally. On this day I 2017 was the last depiction of my heart throb, Tiffany, as the svelte beauty we’ve known for decades. As in the anniversary strip, svelte Tiff is but a memory now. :’(

Her last svelte appearance in an arc was the family dinner with Gunther, Irma and Les. Followed by the terrible emotional low point in her room with Gunther.

I know, I know. As in life, Luaniverse moves on. But I’ll always remember what used to be with a warm heart. I still love Tiffany. But as she is depicted today she seems to have lost that certain Je ne sais quoi. I’ll always miss the sass and flash of “Sheraton StLouis.”

So, I raise my steaming cup of medium roast half-caf to what used to be… and move on.

You would think Les would find something in common with Moe…

No wonder the kittens are attracted to Les. He’s such a sour puss. (bad joke)

The cats sense Les’s unspoken need for love and acceptance and are offering up what they have for him. I hope he won’t be a jerk about this.

Dogs can sense when people don’t like them, and instinctively stay away. Cats can sense when people don’t like them, and try to change that. Or maybe they’re just enjoy being intentionally annoying, who can tell.

Now that made me laugh.

if nothing else, I’ll be glad when this arc is over so all the personal cat stories will finally end!

Cats instinctively know if you don’t like them or are allergic to them. Once they know that they don’t leave you alone.

But…who would have guessed that the cats would be “Les guys”?

Somehow, I get the feeling that Les is hiding his emotions because Gunther is there. I see him sneaking over to the big house when everyone else is at work/school and playing “Red Dot of Destruction” with the kittens—mostly by focusing the dot on Moe’s twitching tail.

Dogs have owners; cats have staff!

My newest kitty is a Hemingway cat — an extra toe on each front leg. They are what are called mittens and look like thumbs. I wonder why this adaptation didn’t catch on (in the sense of evolution), thumbs are very useful.

This confirms it – Les smells like fish.

The cats know it. It is their secret superpower. Put them in a room and they will go straight to the person who cannot stand cats.

Les is not responding to the cats in a manner I thought he would. Purr – haps he is dropping into a CAT – atonic state…

Cat scratch fever?

Since I’m not a premium member, I get to see ads. There’s an ad on the right side of my screen for ‘Cat footwear’. They look like yellow boots for use in crossing streams. I thought cats hated getting wet?

No cat can resist or ignore anyone who says they are “not a cat person”

I like the kitties with Les!

Gray kitten called in reinforcements. Awww Les gonna have a new best friend whether he wants to or not. :)

I see the plot here. Gunther’s Mom left them with the cats hoping they would get attached to them and keep a couple in their apartment.

Cats try to winm over people who don’t like them. Some instinct. I know from experience because i can’t stand cats since my son who was two at the time, tried to pet one and it latched on his hand and wouldn’t let go until I ran up. His little hand was swollen so I took him to the emergency dept. The doctor said 9 of 10 cat bites become infected.

This hard for Les; he doesn’t know how to accept (much less give) unconditional love, which is what these kittens are giving. They are assuming a clean slate, something that no human in Les’s current orbit has been willing to do.

Gunther is a cat person. Leslie Knox is not a cat person. Naturally, the contrarian kitties flock to Leslie. They are sadists….
