Worst case scenario: Gunther and Les share a bedroom. It’s bad enough they share this house.

For some reas0n, I think Tiff’s dad signed the contracts to pay for school and the dorm room. Despite what Ann says, a contract is a contract.

Speaking of Les’ desserts and assorted goodies, I am sure many here would love to see his oysters spontaneously flambé.

Yes, Gunther, we’re ignoring Les and his fantasies. Bets, good luck in getting Tiff to agree and give up her private room into a shared one. Will she throw a tantrum, bawl, scoff….or go back to dad?

Tiffany, kitties and the boys, what could possibly go wrong?

Okay. So Bets is talking about Tiff staying in a dorm room for three.

That means Tiffany moving in a dorm with either:

1) Bets and a new girl.

2) Dez and Bernice.

3) Three of Bets’ Instagram friends.

Still though. Even if that happens, Tiffany will still face the same money woes come Summer, when her roommates go home, and she’s paying for the place by herself.And that’s the saddest part of this whole deal. Even if Tiff moves in with two other people, she will still, “just eke by.”

Which goes back to the cheapest option for Tiffany being moving back home. Or worse, move into the Gulag. The guys would treat her like a queen, when they aren’t killing themselves over her. That is, Until Al and Irma shut it down.

Oh, there is one more wildcard.

4) Tiffany staying with Doctor Fabbi. It would gave her a place to stay, plus the ultimate “Study Buddy.”

Is it a little suspicious that Bets is so familiar with Tiffany’s expenses that she can use a calculator to figure out her budget?

Bets has a plan. Les has a plan. And Gun’s not supporting either one so far. Come on, Super Hero…show us your brilliance for a change….please???

Must look into suing Tom for withholding child support.

And where is Luann in all of this. Since Brad got married don’t her parents have an empty bedroom that they could rent out to Tiffany? Is Luann too busy sorting out her scary artistic talents? Or is it that she shows no compassion when others are struggling.

If Tiff doesn’t like Bets’s recommendation – well – there’s always Tom & Ann…

Today’s strip doesn’t rise to the level of hilarity®, but it is quite funny. Les delivering inane straight lines made me grin.

I suspect GnK have been setting up a continuing arc of Gunther, Les, Tiffany and Bets as a foursome in some fashion. To me, Tiffany in a triple would complicate this arc, severely. The final “solution” won’t be that. Is there a White Knight in the offing? Irma and Al? Daddy Farrell? Ann Awful???

Triple dorm? Unless the Evanses are introducing new characters at Moony U, there is only one option available: rooming with Bernice and Dezzy (sp)!

A triple room … my hope is that Tiffany will end up with Bernice and Dez. Bernice would go mad and Dez would become very attached to Tiffany.

I’ve kinda gotten the notion that Dez is becoming disposable, with Bets as her replacement as the token female POC. Tiff might end up rooming with Bernice.

Think about it. Tiff’s personality has been undergoing quite the evolution, and who better to seize upon that than the strip’s psychotherapist-in-training?

Of course, my musings of earlier in the week, and last week are still valid: Toni gets pregnant, the senior De Groots want to turn Pru’s room into a nursery, as a result of that, and suddenly, Pru and Tiff become a possibility. Throw in an increasingly independent Luann, and you might have those three cohabiting.

Another thought: We’ve never learned enough about Dez and her love life. Suppose she and Pru are on the same team?

Ol’ Smiley has been kinda rare, too, in recent months. Do not discount the possibility of him and Tiff sharing a flat, especially if the younger De Groots get pregnant.

It will be very interesting to see if this arc concludes tomorrow, for a while. It is obviously setting up a forthcoming realignment of the pieces on the strip’s metaphorical chess board.

Has Tiffany abandoned her dream of being a starlet? Has Ann Eiffel knocked her off the track? Has the mighty and sexy Tiff given up? Oh, the dreaded reality of life has destroyed another bimbo….a thousand curses.

Okay, let me contribute to the general discussion: I think Bets idea will be the one that wins out, she will suggest to Tiffany that they room with one other person at the same college, It could even be Bernice, although those who have had RA’s will clap back and say RA’s don’t room with anyone; wait who is Dez rooming with again? OMG that would be perfect, Dez is rooming with Bernice I forgot. Oh that would be perfect for Tiffany, earth mother Dez, practical Bernice. It can’t be Tara because she and Luann are at COMMUNITY COLLEGE (say junior college and GRRRRRRRRR -:) and seem to be doing okay. Anyway for sure rooming with the odd Gulag couple would be a disaster.

Right.

Lately the two guys seem to be friends in an “Odd Couple” way…

I think its being ignored that Les has quietly had more to do with Tiffany then anyone else. Like it or not, they may make a good pair.

Well Les and Tiffany do have a mutual enemy!

It is all well and good for Tiffany to move into a triple… but

1. It is already a sizable chunk through the semester…. so it seems unlikely at best at this time.

2. How on Earth will Tiffany deal with TWO roommates????

Moving in with Les and Gunther is, though, much, much worse!!!!!! PLEASE NO!!!!!

Leslie has many bad habits to grow out of. Gunther cured a few already.

I wonder when they’re going to tell Tiffany about her plans

You know I am doing a double comment again, which I try not to do because I don’t want to pretend to be an all knowing comment hog. But I can’t help but notice that actually there are two conversations going on in these panels, the one between Bets and Gunther discussing a 3 person dorm room for Tiffany, and why she should do it, and the necessary sacrifice involved, while Les is horning in with horny and funny comments. Finally Gunther says, “we are ignoring him right?” Brilliant, funny, informative, and perfectly reflecting the relationship between smart and sensible Bets (some would say controlling, but I think direction is needed here) and reasonable, but needing direction, and loving (her) Gunther. Les is being Les, not more. (sorry I can’t resist it).

One other thing needs to remembered here. Tiffany once did Dez, Tara AND Luann a Solid by fearlessly getting their money back from Ann Eiffel’s scam. So basically, all THREE of these gals owe Tiff a SOLID.

Of course, I don’t see how Luann could help Tiffany here. And I don’t think that Tara has any concept of “gratitude.” (She’s too busy having “fun”)

But Dez sure could……,

Bernice, Dez, and Tiffany, it’s gotta be.

Three’s company new version?

I see Greg forgot that Gunther and Les sold their sofa (and all their other furniture) for a throw rug and two beanbag chairs.

Here’s a possibility: Gun moves in with Bets (wowza) and Tiff moves into to Gun’s old room.

A triple dorm room. Tiffany will move in wth Des and Bernice and drive them crazy.

Les is really Wile E. Coyote: All noise and nothing to show for it.

If she moves in There, she’ll discover that Les is the person who bought all her stuff Online.

I wonder where SallyMargaret has been…. ?

No! Not with the boys! Don’t abandon Tiffany to such a fate, Bets. She needs a more suitable set of roomies!

One problem. When Tiffany kept the single room she signed up for the whole term. How does she get out of the lease now?

I’m kinda getting to like Bets. Shes like Bernice in a way. I wonder if she will have Tiff move in with her, but if they need a Third roommate, would Luann be “Movin’ on up” to the University? That or Introduce a new character.

Time for the popcorn, I think.
