I sure am thankful I’m a guy.

In the house I grew up in, there was three bedrooms: parents’ bedroom (father and mother then later on father and stepmother), brother’s, and my own; stepsisters were on their own when the parents dated and later married.

(Shannon’s a fast learner already.)

The 7th will be for Shannon.

Seven bedrooms? They’ll all be sharing one bathroom forever. I’d be genuinely surprised if GE ever let Broni move away from TJ, who is such a great babysitter and comic relief…allegedly.

One more day in Ozzie and Harriet Land. If this arc gets any more cloying, domesticated, or saccharin it goes straight to the Hallmark Channel or that great paper shredder in the sky.

TJ is a real master and magician as well – the pennies changed to nickels in the second panel. Either that, or dimes – they are now silver. And none of them noticed. The vertical playing pieces changed from brown to white as well.

Now Brad can afford a seven – bedroom house.

Now (it would appear) G&K are painting Brad as a jerk.

Apparently talking about how big a house he wants – and how many kids – behind Toni’s back.

This may become the first Shannon arc I didn’t like.

And it wasn’t because of Shannon.

I like the awkward look on TJ’s face in the last panel, not realizing till then that Brad and Toni hadn’t discussed this.

If they live in the Midwest, maybe. California? LOL. Maybe if the bedrooms are just coffins stacked in a closet, but the only person in the strip that would work for is Ann.

Because 7 siblings means at least 7 attempts===boom-chika-wow wow and LOTS of it. That’s the dream but it’s hard to have sex when you’re constantly being interrupted—-by someone.

Rut-Roh. Me thinks that this statement bringeths an omen for the future…

Having a kid like this around might change Brad’s mind about having children.

Looks like Shannon is still the one who is losing at her own game. It’s really nice to see Brad and Toni stop arguing to go play with Shannon. Thanks to this they calmed down and made progress. TJ knows how to help his dearest friends♡.

Our current house: master bedroom on the first floor, upstairs – auxiliary closet for my wife, room for each of her (adult) kids should they ever visit, and her work from home office. I only go upstairs to do laundry and for movie nights.

That sneaky Shannon.

Folks, I think Brad and TJ are just pulling Toni leg here.

A relatively new house with 7 bedrooms? You’re talking well into a seven figure asking price there.

Unless Brad plans to buy an old Army barracks. ;)

Sure. This is a classic example of how people who have no intention at all of doing something cover their butts. For instance saying they want to buy a house (but its going to have seven bedrooms) Ha! that means it will be really expensive and way out of their budget. Translation -never gonna happen. Big promises always sound really great.

personal experience, every one should have some space they can call their own… some call it a man cave, some call it a hobby room, others call it an office.

So 7 isn’t so bad, that’s a Master Bedroom, personal room for Brad & Toni, room for Shan and TJ (who’s more “domestic” than roomate lol) and two rooms left over. Honestly I’d make one a kid’s room and the other a guest room (because one is really enough)

The other benefit of this thinking is that room could become a parent room if a parent falls ill or needs assistance later in life…

Updated comment from Wednesday: My guess is that we will continued to be regaled with the talk of a DeGroot baby for another day, now with the not so newlyweds joining TJ and Shannon in the parallel game sideshow.

Note that Shannon has learned the drop-the-die ploy and is employing it while the others are distracted. Good job TJ.

Also note that all the pennies have been bleached in panel 2. So have all those little game pieces; whatever they are. Why have they instantaneously moved between panels 1 and 2?

This strip has been sloppily drawn sloppily colored and the dialog in pretty lame.

The innuendos here have been so cryptic all this week as to be truly inane. Sorry GnK. 8^ (

I have to say, I find the Brad and Toni storylines to be the least interesting. I’m just never that invested in what they’re doing, and Shannon gets on my nerves. Just my two cents, do with it what you will. :-)

A fairly “all-over-the-map” sort of week here, IMO. Today, after a few days where it seemed Toni and Brad were edging towards a somewhat heated discussion over a topic that IMO should have been had and agreed upon and understood PRIOR to their marrying in the first place…. now things seem generally “hunky-dory” and Toni and Brad, after the impetus from TJ are teasing each other about potentially grandiose over-expectations.

Shannon has seemingly gotten into the “all-over-the-map” groove too, because now today she seems not upset about the goings on of the game and instead seems to be actively partaking in the silliness of never-ending nonsense “rules”.

Now… the game itself…. seems pretty damn amazing today to me. The pieces MOVE in ways that seem to not translate into any sort of potential game playing pattern, and they change color too! The pieces…. what are they actually? They are not checker or chess pieces. They look like pieces of a dowel cut into about two-inch lengths. Someone must have designed them for the game…. not likely Jonah, who does not seem a “woodworking” sort of fellow… seemingly too uniform and also too unlikely for Shannon to have made even if just from some scraps lying around.

Not a fin de siecle? The end of preggers speculation, or what to do about Shannon, with a hint maybe that Brad is thinking about several kids to Toni’s surprise. TJ brought it up, perhaps as just a joke between him and Brad, not shared with Toni. I don’t think this is an end, there will eventually be a child, the Shannon situation will come to some kind of conclusion, the whereabouts of TJ will be determined, all of a continuing saga.

Of course the comments are focusing on Toni’s anguish and Brad’s cluelessness. BTW talking about a house is not the same as actually expecting to be able to afford it.

I’m guessing TJ’s comment about a 7 bedroom house is rhetorical at best. Part of me thinks that Toni just wants a big house of her own (she fell in love w/ that McMansion) and doesn’t necessarily equate the # of bedrooms with the # of children Brad is expecting her to bear. I am w/ Pipe in the sense that I was really enjoying Nana and the hamster tunnel and was disappointed when the whole arc segued into the (sort-of) well worn dispute between Toni and Brad over when to have children and how to accomodate it. It’s nice to see that Shannon is in school now and that G&K are having her grow up a bit.

Great, so TJ succeeded in turning Shannon into a liar and cheat just like him.

One bedroom for kids, and two for guests, most likely parents and Luann.

I hope he remembered to also put in 7 Bathrooms, otherwise people will think he bought an old Star Trek set.

Nah. Y’all are thinking children. One bedroom for Brad and Toni, an office/craft room/painting studio for each of them, a bedroom for Shannon, a guest room, which leaves two bedroom for children.

one bedroom for B&T leaves 6, times 2 kids per room = cheaper by the dozen . :-/

Of course, where do you think TJ, Shannon, Luann, et al, are going to live since you two are the only one’s in this strip with real jobs?

Toni needs to be more assertive here. And Brad and Toni together need to put TJ and Shannon out of their privacy. It’s time to stop being a soft touch for irresponsible Jonah and untrustworthy TJ….

For what it’s worth…there is some leg pulling going on here…Toni doesn’t seem the least perturbed in any way. They all look like they’re just having fun.
