Oh how I wish I could do that to the people that come into my store and think they can just take their masks off because they’re away from the managers.
Forgot to add that the mask can also save the economy. The countries where people wear masks, social distance and have low infection rates also have the smallest declines in their economies. But Jabba the Hutt and his enablers don’t understand the connection between controlling the virus and saving the economy.
It’s amazing that they think they’re being tough guys when they’re actually showing that they can’t handle the slightest discomfort, and that they’re the ones who bail during a crisis.
My wife and I got up early to go to Walmart for the old folks shopping at 6AM today. Signs are posted that all employees and customers must wear masks. Several employees weren’t wearing one. I complained to the manager.
A great thing about the USA is the prevailing notion that we all have a right to our own opinions. This has served to amplify another great thing about the USA, the fostering of individualism and the encouraging of people to be themselves.
We have planted these ideas in our garden and nurtured them and we have gained in freedom of expression and in inspiration to try the new, the different.
But sometimes such ideas get distorted. Some ideas, if allowed to grow wild, contain the seeds of their own destruction. One example is in the notion that because we all have the right to our own opinions, that any opinion is as good as any other opinion. But there are informed opinions and uninformed opinions, educated guesses and ignorant speculation.
But no one is under the obligation to treat another’s rank ignorance and stupidity as equal to empirical facts. My uneducated guess is not equal to your superior knowledge… and vice-versa.
Hmm interesting that I’ve been seeing sick patients daily in urgent care since the start- with no infection- using a mask. Yet I have multiple friends with college studentS positive or isolating due to pos contacts after only one week of non mask activity. It’s not rocket science to think masks protect, yet you’d think so…
The mask does nothing but show allegiance to the anti-constitutional state. Look at South Dakota, no mask, no shutdown, no lost jobs, and the least amount of Covid19 deaths per 100 in the nation. Freedom is not evil.
Wise Ass’ can be too stubborn to move and must be shot. Big Bar-B-Q tonight. Remember everyone to send your used masks in to be tested to learn if even one virus critter was blocked.
The funny thing about that, if people are so worried about government control then the mask is perfect. You see wearing a mask helps stop facial recognition, therefore less government control over your life.
I worked in Dusty smokey machine shops for 45 years. Since I wanted to retire without lung cancer I wore a dust mask a lot. Ten sometimes twelve hours a day, in summer, not air conditioned. I must have done something right. Cast iron dust, cemented carbide dust, grinding grit and no lung cancer. Simple paper dust masks. Going to Walmart in a mask is a walk in the park. Get over it, snowflakes.
