All it could take is Jack asking Bernice out on a friendly, non-committal (In HIS Mind) date, to nudge Luann toward the ‘edge.’

I have a good friend who had the same problem in his youth. He just didn’t knew how much he attracted many girls, because of his good looking and kindness to everyone. It took really long until he realized that many of them wished more than a friendship.

Being the hopeless, optimistic fool that I am, I think it does. I have always been of the opinion that either Luann or now Bernice specifically per arc storytelling need to let this increasingly attractive (in terms of intelligence, character, even looks) young character have some idea of desire or interest; I think maybe Bernice will, and he will respond very much interested. They have to make the first move in other words. I think he likes both of them, but for some reason I think more is meant romantically between Bernice and Jack. Official change in position on my part by the way. All’s she has to do is step out of her fear, just has she has to do with Ben. Come on Bernice, lets take some chances!!

I love this pairing a lot better than luann. Makes much more sense. However, Luann will likely go all nut case because she will feel Bernice is stealing him away from her.

I love the way Bernice is aware of her attraction to Jack and how Jack is totally clueless of it ♡. Bernice will probably never admit it, but this athletic guy with a heart of gold drives her hormones crazy and I hope this isn’t just physical attraction ♡♡♡.

Jack, in his simple mind will come up with a solution for Bernice that will make it alright to see her brother.

I understand that Jack has a great physique, but he also has a flat head, so it’s surprising the women get that crazy.

I’m not getting any indications from Jack that might lead to a romance. It seems like he’s just being friendly. Maybe it will change?

Jack likes to have fun. Bernice doesn’t. Jack has wandering eyes. Bernice is the jealous type. I don’t see this going anywhere particularly good if it lasts at all.

Putting Jack and Bernice together feels a bit random to me (and yes I do realize they’ve been trying to set it up, at least Bernice’s interest in Jack). I was a lot more interested in Bernice and Piro, and the way she was slowly starting to get through his quiet mystery to the person he was underneath. I wish the writers hadn’t, well, written that off so abruptly.

These two are SO awkward together. Jack is just being friendly, and he has no idea how neurotic Bernice is. It is uncomfortable to see them together.

Jake is a decent guy. I hope he and Bernice can get something going. She could do a lot worse.

I don’t believe this is a one-way street. Jack went out and got Bernice a fish & aquarium. That’s something a dear old friend might do… but they were no more than acquaintances that day at the dog park. Especially at that age, a guy giving such a thoughtful gift to someone he just met would be a pretty strong signal of interest. If it wasn’t, then it was poorly thought out considering the probability that she would take it the wrong way, and the path to hell paved with his good intentions.

I didn’t want to jump to conclusions at first but looks like it was the jump off point for this potential future romance. I personally didn’t see him as a good candidate for Luann but that’s my opinion. A match for Bernice? Mmmmm…maybe.

Luann has unresolved feelingings for Jack, Bernice knows trying to date a guy that her best friend went on even a failed date with is a girl code violation and will over think everything. Luann will figure out her crush freak out and kick her out of her parents house. Then in a year we will find out if their friendship recovers and who if anyone gets jack.
