Want to share! I had to go to an appointment. Fairly early in the morning… so I didn’t turn on the heat. One of my cats, Spider, is addicted to my sweaters. She will insist on climbing in and snuggling up against my chest. Most of my old sweaters are snagged because she has done this so many times. But I had on a ‘new’ sweater… a sweater that doesn’t work well with my coat. So when I was about to leave… I pulled off my sweater… and left it in a spot that was reachable by the cats. When I got home… I wondered why the sweater was extra lumpy. Spider had found the sweater and had worked her way through the neck hole and was inside the sweater. Just a bit of her back was exposed. I carefully reached in and scratched her on the chin… to tell her I understood. I left her alone… but regretted it a couple of hours later. I was cold! After I snatched it back… here comes Spider. Not necessarily a Cat Pile… but we keep each other warm!
Don’t want to be a downer peraon, but, I have bad news. I took Josephine Louisa to the Vet yesterday. She had a lump in her stomach. She is now in the Catnip Fields. My baby girl is gone. Argh.
Just a reminder that Georgia has 4 paintings in the Alley Cats and Angels auction here is the link: https://event.gives/acaa and here are the direct links:

Lupin: https://event.gives/acaa/items/133462

International Stress Awareness Day: Gee, ya think? Anyone not aware of stress at this point is almost certainly dead—and possibly happy about it.
National Waiting for the Barbarians Day: No need to wait, they are already here. Actually this day celebrates a poem, “Waiting for the Barbarians” by C.P. Cavafy. It’s worth a read, especially today.
Use Your Common Sense Day: If ever there was an oxymoron, “common sense” is. Common sense is about as common as Unsepttrium, atomic number 173, but slightly more abundant than Unobtainium, Z = 174. Like all the post-actinide elements, common sense is also unstable, and rapidly breaks down in the presence of emotion.
National Candy Day: Had to end this on a sweet note. Perhaps some candy will help reduce the stress, especially if it’s chocolate. Try to use some common sense and not over-indulge … oh, never mind …
OT:The battle of the teacup, I had to concede defeat last night, Schnurri lapped up my milk tea before I could take a second sip. At breakfast he allowed me two cups the third cup – I was distracted – was his.
My Fluffy and Butterbar can’t catpile without growling. Mostly on Fluffy’s part. He has to let this impertinent chit of a feline know its place…but can’t refuse a catpile so he compromises.
We’ve had several pairs of cats over the years. Even in the coldest weather nary a cat pile. We’ve also had cats who ignored boxes. Fortunately we have had lap fungi.
They only stay with us for a short time, which is why we must enjoy them. (They probably could stay longer, but they’re cats, and must not be inconvenienced.)
When you see Josephine Louisa out of the corner of your eye in the coming months, that’s how you’ll know that she’s keeping an eye on you.

Ah, coziness off the chart! Just what we need right now.
Let’s light a fire and get out the fuzzy blankets.

Nice to see such harmony in the cat pile…….all are very zen, no fighting or fussing. Naturally Pucky has whipped together an informative chart!

Uh oh, if someone’s touching Elvis’ tail he may attack everyone in the room. That’s no way to end a cozy nap.

My foot fell asleep once due to a cat napping on it. As much as I’d like to be buried under a pile of cats, I also like being able to feel my limbs!

Oh, I could sleep on the floor
With my cat friends, one of four,
Never get up ‘till it’s time to eat
Sometimes I feel so bold
But right now it’s really cold,
So I’ll just stay right here, but I feel my tail is asleep
…….
Cheer up sleepy kitties
Oh, what can it mean to a
To the three feline kings and the
Home ruling queen?
…….
We may get up soon
If there’s a sunbeam or food to eat
Now you know how happy we can be
Oh, our good times start and end
Sharing with all our orb friends,
Right now all is well and life is sweet!
…….
Cheer up sleepy kitties

You’ve got a cute way of sleeping
With you, snuggling is an art
Add 3 more bodies and you’re rocking
Like a cozy pile that’s off the charts
I’m spinning down, you know
Yawns and pleasant dreams, you know
You make me feel like napping, I’m gonna nap the day away
You make me feel like napping, I’m gonna nap the day away
You make feel like napping
I feel like napping, napping (whoo, whoo!)
Nap the day away (yeah!)
I feel like napping (whoo!) napping, aah!
Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo, doo-doo (& many more)
And if you’ll let me stay
We’ll nap today away
You make me feel like napping, I want to nap the day away
