Voting needs to be emphasized in schools….it’s a right and privilege …..

Two words worry me: “Peaceful protesters”.

That’s the problem with democracy. People get the government they deserve and people being, on average, quite stupid especially when acting as a crowd, they get a stupid government. Dictatorships are more fun: mostly, people get worse than they deserve, that’s true. But sometimes they get better than they deserve. So, do you feel lucky, punks?

This is why I’m not sure I’m for universal suffrage. I really think there should be some kind of barrier to voting. For example – having people prove they understand the basics of how our government works, or basic economics, or maybe just have skin in the game by paying taxes. I get it, once there is a test in place then one side could skew it so that voters for another party couldn’t get in…not sure how to fix that. However, the current way we are doing things is a mess. Too many making a decision based off of a corrupt media feeding them lies, or who will give them the most free stuff.

You get the government you deserve…and as Mencken said, “Good and hard”.

The government is the good, wise people who know so much better than you and who will lock you in a cage or kill you if you don’t do what they say (they’re so good and wise after all).Elections are when the one to hold the power and the one to crave it, rather than fight a war, decide to hold a popularity contest. They then see who can cheat the most successfully.

Excuse me, I didn’t “deserve” this government.

Us in the UK are heading for a month lockdown. Starting in 2 days.

So many businesses won’t survive. However it’s not the government I’m pissed off and angry at it’s the “citizens” who don’t do as they are told and don’t bother to adhere to the rules. They’re the ones that caused all this.

Currently growing a thick skin before I read the abusive replies I’m no doubt going to get.
