Such beautiful cursive, Puck! That alone should get you a bouncy ball and some grass. My hand writing hasn’t been that good since high school. I mostly scribble now.
Lovable Pucky, asking Santa so nicely for just a few presents and pajamas for his good friend, Buzzy Mouse……how can Santa not bring presents to such a good boy? Then there is Lupin with his “Yo, S. C.! “ missive. What say you, SC, presents or coal for The big Lupe?!
What about Elvis’s letter? And Goldie? I mean she never had cat treats before being adopted so does she know about writing letters last year she was a present.
Asking Santa for something for someone else pretty much guarantees you’ll be put on the Nice List.♥ (I’m not being cynical and saying that Puck did this in a shrewd and calculated way; I’m just pointing out that it’s a savvy move.)
Good timing Georgia Dunn! Sunday, December 6th is Saint Nicholas Day! He can pick up his mail and analyze it all for levels of Good vs Bad! Then ignore all that and bring them all great gifts for Christmas! :)
What beautiful red ink! (Borrowed from, or by, the Children?) And I love the artistic way Puck has written his letter at a slant across the page, thus filling it entirely.
Werner Heisenberg’s Birthday: Though there may be some uncertainty …
Speaking of uncertainty:
Day of the Ninja: The term “ninja” has become an adjective for anything that seemingly does the impossible. The study of ninjutsu and the culture that generated it is fascinating, though an enormous amount of conjecture, misinformation, and downright fantasy about it exists. The very nature of the art and practice necessitates this. In spite of what some would like to believe, the ninja still exist. However, Dr. Heisenberg’s Principle still applies.
Rhubarb Vodka Day: Don’t get me wrong, I love rhubarb. I also love a good vodka, but I think I’ll pass. The oxalic acid in the leaves is just too dangerous (lethal oral dose is 15 to 30 grams.)
World Soil Day: Never underestimate the power and value of dirt—a mistake no politician makes … Everything comes from dirt and everything goes back to it. Speaking of dirt:
Bathtub Party Day: The rubber duckies are going wild. Maybe they filled the tub with vodka (not rhubarb>)
Repeal Day: Speaking of vodka, this is the day the Twenty-first Amendment repealed the infamous Eighteenth Amendment. Good behavior cannot be mandated, it has to be taught and learned. Alcohol is still the safest muscle relaxant and pain reliever known, largely because it has a pharmacological history at least as long as history, and probably longer. I’ll drink to that, but not to excess. I’m no rubber ducky.
“I’ve tried to be good and start each day with a great attitude, but, each and every day, without fail, idiots happen. And I swear they breed like rabbits, because there seem to be more of them every day.”
My heart has melted, fallen on the floor in a puddle of mush and is now saying “awwwwww” over and over again, this is an amazing example of puck’s kindness, he will not have to worry about presents from santa.
“You have to be good if you want Santa to bring you something” is circular reasoning, isn’t it? If you don’t get anything, you assume that you are bad, so you keep doing bad stuff, because you’re not going to get anything anyway.
I made myself concentrate and finish writing out the Christmas cards today. They’re all in the box, waiting for our letter carrier! (And we need to get a gift for her this year – she’s been so wonderful!)
Cat grass, so helpful if the ham gives you indigestion, also if you feel the urgent need to throw up in your human’s shoes to correct some catastrophic misbehaviour, well done, Puck.
Wonder who the other two letters are from. The Boy and Goldie, maybe? Elvis doesn’t think he needs to do anything (though after threatening Santa he needs to apologize). Goldie seems like she might want to write just to see if Santa is real (well, Santa did give her the best possible gift last year, a caring family). Of course that scrawl could be the Girl saying what an M.J. fan she is.
Ham? So it is a cat thing? Wow! the meow-storm from my kitties when I had ham in the house (when I consumed flesh, that is)! Even when a vegetarian, I bought a few slices of the good $7-8/lb. stuff for them (and always got odd looks from the deli when answering “3 slices” to the question: “how many pounds?”). The vet said that the good stuff is less processed and better for them.

I think you’ll be okay Puck. I think you’ll be happy at Christmas. (Even Lupin should be pleased, I’m guessing.)

This letter would melt the heart of even a frozen Santa.
Puck’s handwriting is so much nicer than mine. Also, his is legible. Mine, not so much anymore. And he doesn’t even have thumbs.

Last Christmas, I left you my list
And the very next day, you blew me away
This year, I’m so glad you’ll come here
I know that you’re someone special (special)
So smitten, apple of my eye
Our love’s long-distance
But you’re still my fav guy
Tell me, Santa
Do you remember me?
Well, it’s been a year
Hope yours was happy
(Happy Christmas) This year, who could’ve foreseen it
My note says, “I love you”, and I mean it
Now, you know how good I’ve been
Please, pajamas for Buzz
A ball, a ham for me, (sliced thin)
This Christmas, Pucky, you melted our hearts
With a sweet little note, and love that you wrote (love that you wrote)
This year, we cried happy tears
You’re truly somecat special (special)
(George Michael – Last Christmas)

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Lupinium: Somehow I need to find a new way to be bad. I know! I’ll ask the Royal Procurers!
Sometime Later
Agnes-Ata: So you want to find a good way to be bad. How about doing things that help others?
Lupinium: Sounds good. But how do I go about it?
Violet-Ifa: When we want to help someone, we make sure they don’t know it’s us. We never tell.
Lupinium: Well, I know that Puckmosis is always giving things to others. I’ll try to find out what he would like for himself.
Ta-Natash: And maybe you could do something for Elvis-Anum as well. Tell him it’s from the Papyrus Cat.
Lupinium: I may need some help in carrying this out. Like a swift steed.
Sometime Even Later
Avenger: Sure, Lupinium. Emma and I would be glad to help.
Lupinium: Great. Now here’s the plan….
